    Hi friends

Quran claimed that all truthful and rational teachings of all the revealed religions have been summed up in Quran; either in similarity or with appropriate additions.

    Do you agree with it?

    Anybody or everybody please

    Thanks

      Of course not Paar.

Islam and the Christian Gospel have absolutely nothing in common with each other for a starters.

Judaism talks about a Heavenly God the Loving Father who wants a relationsip with His people, but Islam says God is unknowable and does not speak to individuals.

The Hindu faith talks of many gods, but you say there is no god but Allah.

I don't expect the Buddhists here would appreciate all the letting of infidel blood in the name of Allah either.

The quran's sole fundamentl claim is that it is the last revealed word of god and therefore supercedes all others. It's a claim that only Muslims believe and Islam has singularly failed to prove that it is the word of God either.

        I don't agree with you

Quran/Islam/Muhammad did not invent the word "Allah" ; it was used and still being used by Christians. Please open out Arabic Christian Bible and you will see "Allah" there as many times as you want to.

There are many things common in Judaism, Christianity and Quran/Islam/Muhammad.

        Judaism:

        Deuteronomy 30:6
The Lord thy God will circumcise thy heart, and the heart of thy seed: that then mayst love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, that thou mayst live.

        Christianity:

        Matthew 22:37
Jesus said to him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind.

        Quran/Islam/Muhammad:

[2:161] But they who repent and amend and openly declare the truth, it is these to whom I turn with forgiveness, and I am Oft-Returning with compassion and Merciful.
[2:162] Those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers, on them shall be the curse of Allah and of angels and of men all together.
[2:163] They shall remain under it. The punishment shall not be lightened for them, nor shall they be granted respite.
[2:164] And your God is One God; there is no God but He, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[2:165] Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and in the alternation of night and day, and in the ships which sail in the sea with that which profits men, and in the water which Allah sends down from the sky and quickens therewith the earth after its death and scatters therein all kinds of beasts, and in the change of the winds, and the clouds pressed into service between the heaven and the earth — are indeed Signs for the people who understand.

[2:166] And there are some among men who take for themselves objects of worship other than Allah, loving them as they should love Allah. But those who believe are stronger in their love for Allah and if those who transgress could now see the time when they shall see the punishment, they would realize that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishing.

[2:167] Aye, they would certainly realize if they could see the time when those who were followed shall disown their followers and shall see the punishment, and all their ties shall be cut asunder.
[2:168] And those who followed shall say: ‘If we could only return, we would disown them as they have disowned us.’ Thus will Allah show them their works as anguish for them, and they shall not get out of the Fire.
[2:169] O ye men! eat of what is lawful and good in the earth; and follow not the footsteps of Satan; surely, he is to you an open enemy.
[2:170] He only enjoins upon you what is evil and what is foul, and that you say of Allah what you do not know.

In essence the teachings of all three are the same.

The teachings have been kept similiar in Judaism and in Christianity and secured in Quran being all three copying from the ONE original source of the Creator-God Allah YHWH.

The basic message of Islam is the concept of worship of one true God(AllahSWT) in the way He(SWT) ordains..The concept of worship of one God has been the fundamental message of all prophets like Abraham,Moses,Jesus,Noah,(peace be on them all) the books brought by them from God also contained the same message. The other tenets like the method of worship, jurisprudence etc varied with time... more suiting to those times. The Quran, the Last book of God  is meant for all humanity(Surah Alibrahim14:1) and the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) for   all mankind(Surah 21:107)

The Christian and Muslim religions are incredibly similar, after all, the Muslim religion is Christianity but with a more recent prophet.

Both the Muslim and Christian religions require prayer to a God, and having 'God' speak to you through feelings/emotions/voice/whatever is still a very new concept. Through true Christian teachings the only person who will actually receive any kind of communication is the Pope.

      Hi friend  thisisoli

Do you think that the Protestants, a vast majority in England and America believe in "Through true Christian teachings the only person who will actually receive any kind of communication is the Pope."

      I don't think so.

      Thanks

You can't be serious? Please complete a sophomores inquiry of Christianity and Islam. You’ll quickly see they’re superficially similar, but  fundamentally very different. And I don’t who the pope is talking to, but it’s certainly not the God of the Bible.

The quoran has quite a few more threats than the bible, otherwise little difference between them. smile

The difference between present day Christanity and Islam is like the difference of 'chalk n cheese'.Whereas Islam preaches the submission of one true God and obtaining God-consciousness , righteousness in character n repentance for salvation the church adheres to the concept of trinity and Jesus(pbuh) crucifixion and death for the sins of humanity as means of salvation...

The qu'ran is a perversion of the Torat and Ingeel.

    Nothing more.

Try again Paas... and, I still haven't seen any response for the reply the other day.

    Hi friends

Muhammad did not know reading and writing and he was born in a region was mostly secluded from the rest of the world; he simply could not copy from other religions. Quran was authored by the Creator-God Allah YHWH and reason/wisdom content was also added which is not available with other religions.

    Thanks
