I am new to hubpages(joined 6 days back). I made few hubs(so far 3) and asked few questions, posted some comments too.

Next day i created my account, my profile page has been indexed in google. Plus my first hub also indexed in google.

From yesterday onwards my profile page and a hub that was indexed in google disappeared.

anyone tell me whats wrong with me.

Don't take it personally as it's a very common occurance. New pages usually go high in the search results for a few days, then often go into the ether for a few weeks, then come back again. It's quite normal and not something to worry about. If you want to help things along get a few backlinks to your pages. I find it takes about 2-3 months to get a stable search engine result, and that of course, is subject to change as well!

Reasons your pages may not get back in the results are if there are already 100's of pages using the same title (ie: there is already tonnes of info on that particular thing) or if the content is duplicate.

Yeah, indexing definitely varies...with everything, not just hubs. I usually have a strong net presence (something someone commented on when I first joined another site...LOL)...most of the time I have lots of indexed pages on Google, between my hubs, website, books on Amazon, articles I've written for other people, press releases, etc. But I might not get the same information from one day to the next, and on some days a lot of pages that have to do with me don't show at all. So, yeah, it varies.

Google indexes and de-indexes depending on a whole range of variables.

It's not your profile page you want indexed - it's your hubs. Those are the ones that earn you money.

I'd recommend writing 30 hubs then worrying about indexing and traffic.

      why do you say 30?

      1. saleheensblog profile image60

just a suggestion, number doesn't really matter.

You are right. But one hub which was originally indexed also disappeared now.

What is the point of writing 30 hubs or more without any indexation in google, i mean no indexation means no traffic from search engines.

    Am i right?

you will gradually start getting traffic, things are not that easy you want it to be. you need real hard work. With quality content there are many other fields on which you need to emphasize to get quick traffic from search engine like research on keyword, SEO application etc. No.doesn't matter, only quality matters. I suggest you not thinking about money first up, just concentrate on quality.

You still can be found in Google without being indexed and don't forget about Yahoo, Bing and all the other search engines.

Just because you get indexed doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get traffic. You'll have a better chance of getting traffic quickly from the serp's by picking the (right keywords) for your title and using them throughout your content.

I have only one hub and I get traffic from all 3 major search engines and It's not indexed.

Google likes aged content. So your hubs will (with rare exceptions) take 6-9 months to see good traffic anyway.

All I can say without writing an essay about it is this - trust me that it is not really important right now.

What is important is writing more hubs, and reading hubs about how to get more traffic, backlinks, keywords and SEO.

People like Mark Knowles, Misha and Darkside have great hubs on those topics.

    Good luck!

I would add some more name rachale, darkside, frigdropping, shazwellyn, sunforged, TerryGl,Peter Hoggan many more. and you can always come to the forum for more help.
Use the great extreme hubmakeover forum as a greatr tool where you can put 2/3 links of your hub to be critiqued on how you could improve your writing.

Still i got no answer for, why my previously indexed profile page and one hub which also indexed, has now disappeared.

Once everything indexed then good chance of traffic.

    Anyone know it?

i searched for TopUniverse on hubpages and got few results. Whatever your profile is indexed but not in the first page, there are tons of quality pages on that tag to occupy the first pages. even you will find this forum post prior to your profile. TopUniverse is a more searched than Raman24. there are not many pages on Raman24 over the net but tons about TopUniverse or related issue.

"The World Wide Web is very large, and Google is not even sure how large. They can only index a fraction of it. Google has plenty of capital to buy more computers, but there just isn't enough bandwidth and electricity available in the world to index the entire Internet. Google's crawling and indexing programs are believed to be the largest computations ever."

You'll find everything on the internet takes time.

Also check out this post by Spacey Gracey, a hubber who is now making a decent amount off Amazon after only a few months. Her post sums it up pretty well and the rest of the thread is worth reading, too.

      small query

I noticed this profile indexed in google, under 4 hrs of crating that account.

      http://hubpages.com/profile/Raman24

but my profile is not even after 6days

      http://hubpages.com/profile/TopUniverse

      can you explain?

Google gives all new indexed pages a boost to begin with. However, other pages will get priority over others, so it doesn't mean you are not indexed, it just means that other pages are of higher priority to yours.

Age or Maturity is one of the major keys to ranking, but HubPages Hubs get an initial boosts when published. However, if those are not properly created, such as SEO and backlinking, then other pages will move ahead of you.

Just a number? 30 is a square pyramidal number.

How about the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge?

How about the 60 days challenge: 30 days for writing hubs, 30 days for promoting them?

I like your 60 day challenge. Not only writing but also promoting them.

TU-I don't know this for a fact, but I suspect that if you had more text on your profile for Google to pick up on other than just "I am more interested in reading books, playing games and watching TV.", it might help get you indexed. Right now, I'm pretty certain your profile page looks like nothing more than a bunch of links to Google.

Thanks for all for providing some good information.
