How Much Are You Getting Paid For Such a Shameless Totally Promotional Thread? roll

Did you join (or get referred here) via FaceBook? hmm

The REAL Success of ANY BUSINESS... especially a Writing Site like this one is THE PEOPLE... (Well the REAL People Anyway!) hmm

Maybe you should consider that as your Primary Reason Huh? roll
And Consider how to project that in your works!

I don't claim any kind of expertise on SEO.  I'm still learning.  However, I've found that my best traffic increase stemmed from my close attention to my HubMetrics specifically under Keyword.  I believe all that you have listed are equally important. smile

All are important, but I think content comes first-- meaning content that is interesting, helpful and/or sought, presented in an interesting, helpful and easily searchable manner.

I don't necessarily do that with all of mine, but if I did I'm sure it would bring in more dollars and cents.

Of course, that begs the question: What is "successful" to you?

Yes I like your parting question Rochelle and finding that answer leads each of us one step closer to 'our' success.

Well, I hope you are not female-- I think you are very handsome (if that is, indeed, your image in the avatar, and not some movie star).

This site is not the ideal way to make money, unless you simply cannot work a conventional job -- even bagging groceries is better, dollar for time invested.

I think there might be a handful of people who are successful, but it's simply not worth trying to fit yourself into the ranks of the statistical oddities, especially when there is a strong chance you can make comparable wages -- without frustrating yourself in trying to be one of those peculiar and lucky few if you even succeed -- doing other work.

More of us make good money here than you think.  The nice thing about my hubs is once I've written them they keep making me money.  Bagging groceries would require me to show up every day.  The ones who complain about making no (or not enough) money here are usually the ones who don't take the time to write good original content or want to see million dollar results in 4 months.  Some things take time.  Patience and persistency....that's the key.

The ability to teach yourself new skills quickly and then apply them to writing hubs that make money. That and the discipline to work very long hours.
