Content Warning on unpublished (never published) hub

   I have a hub I've been working on but have never published. I logged in to work on the hub and found it already has what is probably a script/site-generated warning about content on it.
   
   Should I submit to someone on staff at hubpages for review first if I wish to publish or what? I have no idea WHY there's a warning on my unpublished hub - unless it is that google or hubpages won't allow content about alternative lifestyle or homosexuality topics. Would it be the fact that one of my links leads to a PDF file that will open right away in a new browser window? Is this considered a download or something? (Doh, I'm sure it is, but I have put definite warnings near the link that following the link opens a PDF pamphlet immediately - so people can choose not to click). I am explicating portions of a document for the content of my hub so I need for interested people to be able to read the same document. It's a PDF file - not my authoring but is a pamphlet in the public domain.
   
   I'll check back later to see if someone can give some explanations or suggestions on what's up with the content filtering or if I should just delete this unpublished hub.

      Since you haven't published the Hub yet, we can't see it and consequently can't give you any advice.
      
      Why don't you finish it, publish it, and wait to see what happens? You can always unpublish it and write it again, if you choose to.
      
      Meanwhile, make sure you follow the HP and Google TOSs about what is acceptable and what is not.

   I'm very sorry - I looked but can't find the original post. However here's what I remember reading in the HP forums previously about the updated Adsense TOS:
   
   Adsense now wants no mention of anything sexual, which includes losing virginity, porn, basic information, how to guides OR even homosexuality.
   
   Why? From what I remember it was because too many people were abusing the privilege of posting about sexual topics and naturally adsense can't go through each one to check that it's 'kosher'.
   
   I'd email the team about it, just to make certain. However if adsense is disabled you may still be able to make some money off amazon sales?

      Thx for responding - I placed pertinent comments about the content/sexual nature in the post to Sally's Trove about the actual content...
      
      I should add: planning on exploring an argument on "discomfort" with sexual topics as a reason why we "ban" materials all the time. Perhaps I should just move the content to my personal blog then delete the hub...

   I'm worried about publishing it because it already has a warning on it. Do you think I will just get another warning or will software/scripts and stuff think I am continually publishing content against TOS?
   
   There's actually nothing really graphic - it's the actual title of the pamphlet that might be the problem. I am offering a link to where the pamphlet is so that people can decide for themselves about its content - and the controversial pamphlet content is not even on the hub.
   
   I'll check back here in a few hours as I now have a class to go to. I'll make a decision on publishing or deleting once I get back this evening.

   A copy-paste of the warnings before publication:

   This hub is not published, only you can see it."
   
   Now, by "trigger this warning," I take this phrase to mean that, upon human inspection, the content may be deemed "reasonable" and not against Hubpages TOS or Google/A-S Policies.
   
   I took the link out leading to the immediate download - and am going to post the shortened, cleaned up hub.

   Try to put the PDF as a zip-file and maybe the warning goes away? I'm not sure but sometimes websites cry about linking to "executable" file and they might consider a PDF that way since a PDF can be very advanced.

      I actually took the link with the "open PDF" off the hub entirely but left a link which leads to the site (it's not a download site it's a site with content) that offers the PDF.
      
      Hopefully that will change the status of the hub. It's my shortest hub lol I'll probably get nailed for "insufficient" or lack of content - it's probably an inferior hub that I will have to add to soon. Just tryin' to get around these warnings at the moment because I never did have anything really explicitly controversial on the hub in the first place.

   I take it your Hub on "The Little Black Book" published 11 hours ago is the Hub you've been asking about in this forum.
   
   I'm not for censorship, either, no matter what the topic is.
   
   However, your Hub...which currently displays no Google ads...has a focus on s*e*x words without a focus on content or purpose (hope you don't mind my criticism here).
   
   The "Genophobia" section of your Hub is loaded with s*e*x terms. I guess that's a flag for HP/Google.
   
   Plus, the Hub's word count is about 625. So while the overall word count is low, the s*e*x word count is high.
   
   I believe you have a point, but you are asking the reader, HubPages, and Google to do too much reading between the lines.
   
   Providing links for PDF readers is not necessary. I know someone earlier suggested that a PDF might look like an executable file, but I don't think that's the problem.
   
   I think you have too little content with too many s*e*x words.
   
   Your Hub, Cat Legends: Beware of Foot-Licking Cats and Jealous Cats, is outstanding. This current one doesn't begin to measure up to that one. In that Hub, you were telling a story; in this one, you are ranting. So, tell a story in this one, and I think it will be OK.
   
   Yes, HP can overide a flag generated automatically, so I wonder if you've been in touch with the HP Team to get their feedback.
