Hey everyone, as you may have noticed, I've now added some amazon products to my hubs. I've signed uip to the associates program and entered my ID into my Hubpages settings. My question is, does this mean I will recieve earnings by just using the amazon capsule to display products by entering links, or is there something else I must do?
Thanks in advance, as I know you are always helpful and friendly smile

That's all you do.  Just add the capsule and put products in it.  When someone buys anything on the Amazon site after clinking on your link, you get $$$.  I just wish I was doing as well on Amazon as I am on Google!

I wish I was doing well on anything. I haven't had a click on AdSense for so long! I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, my hubs are all a decent length and have good quality content, and I tag them pretty well.

Are you putting any back links out there?

I've heard that term so many times and I'm not 100% sure what it means. I publish links for my hubs on xomba, stumbleupon and digg though.

well social networking sites are no follow.  You just need to be patient and optimize your webpage - check my hub on it - it might help

Backlinks are ok providing you are doing it for the right reasons:

Before making any single decision, you should ask yourself the question: Is this going to be beneficial for my page's visitors?

        This might be helpful to:

This will take time vodkababes.  You are still new here and you wont really take off until your authorscore is 75.  Not to get to complex, you become dofollow where HubPages recognises you are a genuine member of the community rather than a spammer.

Be active in the community - reading hubs, making a positive contribution in the forums, produce good quality of hubs and you will get there sooner than you think.

It might help you further if you read from the learning centre:

One thing to note, either here or on your blogs, this stuff takes time.

A quality hub or blog will still take time to age and gain the respect that comes with age. As such it takes time to start earning well here or on a blog. Patience is a virtue that can pay well but you gotta have more then a doctor!

Keep writing stuff that you honestly believe will help someone and try to get the word out in tasteful ways. Over time you will start to see clicks more and more often.

Someone told me to be patient when I first started and boy was it hard! I really really wanted to see some earnings asap as I had a job I wanted to get out of. I still have that job and the earnings while nice are no where near enough to get me out of that job but hey in these tough times its better to have a crappy job then no job smile

Some people will have you believe that you write it and they will come, which is true for certain hubpages, but some pages do need a push and it's early days with your Amazon journey, so write a series of product hubs and link them all together and just have fun writing what you know about!

I've been on HP for 10 months and haven't had much from Amazon so it does take time, be patient. Have fun writing and join in on the forums, be helpful and you will see results. smile
