   Ok, so I am brand new to Hubpages & am excited to have discovered such a great site.  I am slightly terrified to get feedback, but also realize constructive criticism is the best way to improve my writing.  This article is meant to be the 1st of a series.  Any suggestions on how to improve traffic etc would also be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance!

   Its a well written and informative hub from my point of view.
   
   Without adding it, "This article is part 1 in a series concerning CVI" you can do your title like this,"Cortical Visual Impairment Part 1:Signs Your Baby May Have CVI."
   
   
   No Amazon products found~ if you want to add amazon capsules you can search for children eye care related books or eye related books or equipments.
   
   I feel you have used excessive tags. For a 600 word hub 15-20tags or a bit more is a standard though there is no certain rule. You better use it and chose less but more relevant tags otherwise you may get flagged for excessive tagging. https://adwords.google.com/o/Targeting/ … earch.none
   
   The plural form of stimulus is stimuli I think. Probably you have mistaken it. You unfortunately misspelled child, you wrote [chlid]

   Welcome to hubpages.
   
   Don't worry about traffic first up. Keep writing and gradually you will start getting traffic. Quality content draws traffic automatically, you just write and use some good keywords.

   Thank you very much!  I thought I had corrected that darn chlid/child error on my last reading!  I have a book I want to post, but am waiting for approval from Amazon Affiliates for this site...  Thank you for the input & I will continue posting my hubs & hope that people will want to read them.  I tried to read up on backlinks, etc., but frankly found it confusing and discouraging.

         Wikimedia Commons offers free images. You can also do a Google Image search, choose advanced search and then images licensed for commercial use. There are other sites with free images as well, but you should acknowledge the artist/source.

         Just wanted to add that I'm very impressed that you're caring about the rights on images - many people snatch photos willy nilly off the net without caring about who took them and without attribution.

   Try and break up your paragraphs for visual effect.  Label your capsules with variants of your keywords. 
   
   One massive thing I have noticed is your tags... you really have gone over the top... there are far to many.  Try and decrease these to relevant tags of up to 20.  Be tag specific - try and use google's wonderwheel to help you.  Just place in your main title and see what relevant results come from that.  This should give you a good idea of what tags you should be putting into your hub.
   
   You are obviously a good writer, so keep it up!
