I see where I can copy the code for banners from Hubpages, but where do I post it? How do I get one of those banners to display on my Hub?

You can paste HTML code in text capsule by pasting code in HTML content button.

That is irrelevant. The Code capsule is only for displaying samples of how code will look like in articles about programming. The Code will not be fuctional, it will not execute. HubPages does NOT permit us to use active HTML code in our hubs.

HubPages does not allow you to post the HTML code needed to use the banners here. You can paste that onto blogs and websites that you own. The closest thing to putting a banner here would be to generate an image, then place a hyperlink underneath it by using the image capsule.

      Thanks,
But I stumbled onto a page here at Hub a minute ago with what they said were "approved" banners. There were several and each had html code to copy and paste.

Do you have any banners or widgets for HubPages that I can embed in my blog or website?

      help
We do! We have a nice assortment on our banners and badges page. Pick whichever you like, and simply copy and paste the code below it into your blog or Website. You can even embed them into your ...

I just can't find where to paste the code they give.

That the banners are "approved" simply means that HubPages certifies the banners are safe and lawful to use.

My answer is as stated above. Hubs are neither a blog nor a website, you cannot use the banner code here. The reason is, as stated, that HubPages does not permit pasting HTML code from any source.

Aren't those banners for putting up on other websites or blogs to advertise HubPages, and not for putting in hubs?  I just read the part where you linked to the FAQ and that's what it seems to be saying to me.

      Hey thanks,
Am just rekindling a dormant interest and appreciate the help. It's hard sometimes to find the little bit of feedback to keep the momentum rolling...
      :-)
      thanks again

No wonder you did not know that, because it isn't true. I think you have misunderstood what pasting code does for you. It does nothing for you in terms of running active HTML code. The code will not execute, it will not work.
