mass submissiom of article how do google see it

   i wrote one article and submitted to eleven article directories. after 2 weeks it was only two of the article directories that i found linking to my site when i checked with link popularity tool.
   
   is it that google see the other nine article i submitted as duplicated content and decide not to index the links?.
   
   mass submission of an article will all be index and counted as link to a site?
   
   i will be very glad to get response from you all cause am thinking of stopping mass submission of article for backlinks since they are not been index

      This is a good question and one that I see asked often. I have done quite a lot of article submitting and have noticed some changes down thru the years.
      
      When choosing an article submission site, I look for several qualities.
      
      The submission process should be simple and the guidelines should be clear. If the site has long approval times or nitpicks content, I refuse to use them, no matter what their reputation is.
      
      I can say that some of the biggest names in article sites offer poor service and have become not worth the hassle.
      
      Another aspect to look for is to see if the submitted article gets picked up by other sites. If so,  there will be a secondary flow of links and traffic which is a positive thing.
      
      Perhaps the most important aspect of an article site is its ability to get ranked in web searches. This not only proves that the article is indexed but it also will have potential for generating human traffic, sometimes for many years to come.
      
      Since you do manual submissions, it may be a good idea to experiment a little. You can try varying the titles and making slight edits to the introduction and content. This only takes a few minutes but can have profound effects.
      
      I have seen many cases where this technique has resulted in the same basic article getting high rankings for several search phrases. Thru experimentation, you will learn which article submissions sites tend to get ranked well and which ones tend to get lost. I use a handful of sites, some of which are big names and some of which are not as well known.
      
      You can also choose to play the PageRank game or ignore it as many of us do.

   Can't give you a definitive answer, but I can relate my experiences.
   
   Using the link operators for; Google, Yahoo, and Bing - none have ever returned all the links that I know a hub has.
   
   Furthermore - they all seem to return different links, ie. all 3 may report some of the same links, and then each of the 3 will report 1 or 2 links the others did not show.
   
   Also - using many of the backlink checkers found with Google search - I get very similar results - some links in common with the search engine link operator results, but never all the links I know to exist. I would guess this would be because the backlink checkers most probably use the search engine's data to return their own results.
   
   Just my experience, but, if you ever find a backlink checker that gets them all, I would love to hear about it.
