When checking my hubs for various metrics I get the following comments from more than one service or software package.
Keywords
WARNING: No keywords meta tag was discovered.
NOTICE: Some search engines still utilize the keywords meta tag.
ADVISORY: It is recommended that a keywords meta tag be added.
I also get the following two messages.
Robots
WARNING: No robots meta tag was discovered.
NOTICE: The robots meta tag is NOT a requirement, however it does help spiders determine whether or not to index a web page and/or follow the links.
ADVISORY: Consider adding a robots meta tag.
Author
WARNING: No author meta tag was discovered.
NOTICE: The author meta tag is NOT a requirement, however it helps to establish company name or brand recognition.
ADVISORY: Consider adding an author meta tag.
I imagine that these are things we cannot do ourselves with our hubs. Considering that many in the industry still feel these are relevant and necessary parts of web content production is there any plan for hubpages to impliment these type of things?
I though the meta tags were what we were doing when we tagged our hubs through the helpful hubpages tool.
Whatever service you used is wrong.
No search engine you care about looks at keyword meta tags.
