I was researching progress of some of my hubs on Google and a site called Badoer showed up with some titles that look suspiciously like mine.

When I checked it out they had lists of my titles, tons of adverts on the page.

When you click on 'read more' it redirects to Hubpages, so I guess it is not really duplicate content.

But a few questions came to mind as I am still relatively new to the online world and I was hoping someone more experienced could explain.

Does this help / hurt in anyway?
How do they pick up the titles?
How the hell does this get on to the front page of google when it is just a page listing my titles?

For your reference here is an example - not all the titles are mine on this one.

I'm not really worried about it - just curious about how it all works as hadn't come across this before.

Just had a look and it seems to be a huge redirect site ~ mind you I know nothing about these things.

I've come across a couple of these in the past but did nothing about it as my article wasn't duplicated it was just the link back ~ bit like this.

Think we need a techy person to explain.

On another note are you as frozen solid in Essex as I am in Bedfordshire?

Hmmm I'm not sure. My initial thoughts were that they must be using RSS feeds to display the links and that they may have included a tracker ID in the link so they get some revenue, but I can't see it in there.

Looking at the page source, they seem to be using a google syndication feed which displays the links on the first or second page of the google search results.

I don't think it's anything to worry about. You may get some traffic from them, but the links are no follow so you won't get any benefit in terms of link juice.

That's my impression, but I may be completely wrong. I'm not that techy tongue

That's autoblog which is aggregating the content from other sites giving linkback to source in most cases to clear out from plagiarism. They're also jamming keywords to get attention from SE's and it is working for them. If you notice those links which redirects with some possible hidden CPA ads in it. They're making money by showcasing content of others-just like google.
