My Amazon Capsules aren't working

   I have a hub with several Amazon Capsules for the reader to purchase the products I'm talking about.
   
   I put my Affiliate ID for Amazon in my profile a while ago.
   I put the http link from Amazon for the product for my affiliate link.
   
   I have 10 Amazon capsules on the page (top 10 page) and yet not a single one of the links credits my amazon affiliate account.
   
   The Links are Hubpages affiliate links so I am not getting a penny for any sales I make from the page.
   
   Is this the way this is suppose to work?  Right now I feel like Hubpages pretends to give me the ability to put in my affiliate links and then replaces my links with theirs.
   
   I have unpublished my webpage since I can no longer trust Hubpages.  I figured if there was a problem the page would have told me, I would have received an E-mail or some other notification.
   
   Not some Stealthy ninja money stealing tactic like this.
   
   Am I wrong?  At this point I'm rather annoyed since my page was doing so well.

      http://hubpages.com/my/affiliate did you insert your affiliate link on that page?
      
      And after selling 80 items on Amazon last month, just on hubpages, I doubt that the site is messing with me!
      
      Republish it so we can have a look - it will probably make it easier.
      
      Remember - you only get 60% of impressions.

            You get 60% of the page impressions. Your amazon ID is gwdragon-20, which I see in the links.

               It has to have been the combination of a poor page (I figured 400+ views should produce at least some click throughs) and when researching the problem the two times I checked the links they were hubpages links and not my own.
               
               Refreshing the page several times brings up my links.  Still baffled on how that many visitors can produce so few product clicks on Amazon, but I am just starting so I guess it has to be my page construction.

                  You only get paid when you make a sale, and as was said, the link checker does not work with HubPages.

                  Some stuff converts better than other stuff. Some traffic converts better than other traffic. 400 page impression is nowhere near enough to draw any conclusions. Sorry.

                  Mark is totally right. My experience of writing product hubs focused on PC/PS3 games is that they convert extremely poorly compared to other products I write about. Tonnes of views/very few sales.
                  
                  I can't say why for sure but I think it's probably because the people hitting the pages don't have the cash to spend (ie: they are kids) or that they can buy them cheaper elsewhere.
                  
                  I thought I'd check out the actual figures and compare them to a hub that does reasonably well. Here is what came out after taking off 40% for HP's share of impressions:
                  
                  Games - 30 sales over 14,400 views
                  
                  Another product - 31 sales over 1320 views.
                  
                  All that said, I'm pretty sure thisisoli does well with games - I wonder if he's phrasing the titles to attract parents rather than kids?

   Lets take this one step at a time.
   My affiliate for Amazon is in:
   
   Amazon    XXXXXXXXcom-20 Set  Check Your Amazon Earnings
   
   I re-published the hub.  It's http://hubpages.com/hub/Top-PC-Games-fo … tmas-2010.
   
   There are 10 links with text next to them.  Each link when copied to Amazon Link Checker (https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp … /main.html) says
   
   "Fail: The link does not correctly tag for your Account."
   
   When I put my mouse over the bottom 10 links in the other Amazon capsule that has 10 "keyword" selected items, each one has hubpages-20 in the link meaning they are going to hubpages affiliate link.
   
   Is this the way it should be?  All 20 amazon links in my hub are pointing the hubpages-20 affiliate link and I don't see my links anywhere.
   
   When I go back in to edit the Amazon links, they no longer show the URL to my affiliate links, just the product ASIN number.
   
   When I click on the link to check my amazon Earnings... It says I have only 8 clicks, 7 of which were from the original day I was creating the hub and checking the products on Amazon ensuring I had my links correct.
   
   It makes me scratch my chin since I can't see anything that points to my affiliate links.

   As far as I have been informed, the Amazon link checker does not work for HubPages.
   
   HubPages gets 40% of the page impressions, you get 60%. Your affiliate ID will only appear on your page impressions. On page impressions that belong to HubPages, their affiliate ID will appear on all advertisements.

      I was looking for Amazon affiliate information, not just page impressions for affiliate links.  Once I checked that out, it helped but it was explained much better in here.
