You've been unable to apply? Get accepted? Verify HubPages? Put the Publisher ID in your affiliate page?

I was gonna start a thread about this but since it is related to adsense, I'll post it here.

I heard some reports that people have had their ad sense account suspended shortly after they had adsense used in their hubs. I'm abit worried to put my adsense into my hubs because of this. Could somebody clarify about this? I think you can properly find the stories if you google them.

You only get suspended from Adsense if you break their TOS (Terms of Service) so don't do it. You also want to make it so Adsense only accepts Hubpages, because in the past some people have had the PUB code used on other sites (porn blogs) which is against the TOS and you get banned. To do this,

Go to your Adsense account > Adsense Setup > Allowed Sites.

As long as you stick to the rules, you won't have a problem and won't get banned.

Do you have to put the URL for each hub here?

I think seeing that you've read those stories you could have pasted them here for us.

They are not easy to find, they just randomly pop up while browsing in the past. Here's one you can read about it, it's about a friend of his.

Although nobody can be sure that his or her adsense won't be suspended or disabled for violation of adsense TOS but I'll advise you not to use adsense id on sites other than the hubpages. You may get tempted to promote your hubs on blogger and use your id on blogger but don't do that. Someone may paste your id on porn site and settle scores with you. Most of the hubbers blacklisted by adsense have never used their id on porn sites but their id's were pasted by others on porn sites and google takes excuse that you used your id on other sites so you used it for porn sites also. Best thing you can do is to list hubpages in allowed sites and never include  your blogs on blogger in allowed sites. Although it can not assure that your A/C won't be disabled because there are other excuses available to google adsense to disable your A/C like frequent clicking on your ads by your enemies etc.

Detailed reply thanks, but i'm not clear how people can paste your id and how they can have access to your id in the first place?  Let's say i have a blog with adsense on blogger so how is anyone gonna know my id just from there.

Wow, that's pretty lame. Now i have to choose either put adsense on my blogs or hubpage. Google should really have better effort than that.

You can put your code anywhere you want, people can put it on as much porn sites they want and Google won't give a damn as long as you only tell it to count what is on your "Allowed sites". What's lame about that?

      I've heard it happen.

But for a while now you can specifically state which sites you want allowed to display your Publisher ID: https://www.google.com/adsense/publisher-whitelist-view

It also shows a lit of Unauthorised Sites that have displayed ads using your AdSense publisher ID within the last week.

what do you add, though? The URL for every hub?

When you are accpeted by adsense they give you a html code. On Hubpages you don't use the whole code. You only use the adsense ID number. My adsense codes starts with ca-pub- and has a 16 number code following it. You only have to paste the code for your adsense. Go  to your affiliate settings and paste the code for adsense where it shows.

Do the same for Amazon, Ebay and Kontera along with analytics. The code will automatically install on each hub of yours. You never have to add it anymore after the first time.

For hubpages, just add hubpages.com. No one else can add your adsense code here because they'll have to verify it, if I remember correctly.

thanks Sir D - I've added it to hubpages, I was wondering about restricting the allowed sites on adsense itself.
