Has running Kontera ads hand-in-hand with Google Adsense increased your revenue - or has it created a grounds for divorce!  If so which one had to go... Kontera or Adsense?  I don't know about this marriage because I haven't tried it.  Perhaps you can fill me in!

As far as I am concerned Kontera does not pose any problem to adsense earnings. But if i have to drop one then it would be Kontera.

Has anyone been paid by Kontera yet?

Surely someone has, it's been months now.

I have been paid. But I had to wait 6 months. Kontera did not have much in the way of appropriate ads for my hubs.

I have turned them off. If they had paid at the end of the month, I might have left them on, but their TOS means waiting until $100 is reached. Don't see why I should have to wait that long.

Relache says she does well from them though.

Wow that good Relache!  Do you think you could have gotten more from just having Adsense on your page?  Do you think Kontera might be hindering or helping your overall earnings??

I'm considering dropping Kontera on a few hubs. I make ok money with Adsense, but on Kontera I've made hardly anything.

30x less than Adsense in the same period!

So I'm going to stop it to see if it'll improve my Adsense.

Please don't. I have triend it and Kontera does not seems to affect adsense. The law of probability seems not to work here. If you've been getting ten adsense clicks and twenty kontera clicks per day, you'll continue to get ten adsense clicks (may be less but not more) even after switching off Kontera.

You may ask how but that's how my experiment is showing.

I visited about 10 of your hubs and didn't see any Kontera, just Adsense.  Where do you have them?

If you can not see Kontera ads, it's either:

          1. You are signed in hubpages. Sign out.

          Or

          2. You are in a region that Kontera is not showing ads based on your ip address.

I stopped them when others did, and just reenabled them a week ago and the earnings are good - not like adsense but worth having

I think Kontera's new policies will have me switching to another option.

Konteras a dud...to obtrusive, ads are not targeted properly - they'll even stick their links over your own links

    http://konterasucks.tumblr.com/

Pretty comprehensive display of untargeted ads displayed by Kontera

I think it works well on pages not worth reading..if your reader is absolutely bored they will probably look forward to any reason to leave - but if they are actually interested in your content...its just annoying

At least thats how it works for me as a reader

I have recently removed the Kontera ads from all of my hubs because in my opinion, they ruin the flow of my content and I find them annoying.  They don't pay that well anyway, so I don't think it is much of a loss.

I've seen messages purpotedly sent from Adsense support on message boards that clearly seem to discourage having Kontera ads running on the same page.  So, I really wonder whether those running both are risking their Adsense account.  Has anyone running both bothered to check this out with Adsense support?  Has Adsense stated explicitly that they don't mind having Kontera ads running alongside?? If so, do let us all know.

Don't worry gals and guys. Google has introduced Kontera-like expandable ads on AdSense sites.

You're automatically eligible to receive expandable ads if you've added the AdSense code directly into your page's source code and you've enabled image ads.

Expandable ads are currently only available to specific advertisers located in the U.S., who can bid on specific sites where they'd like their ads to appear.

I hope Hubpages will advice accordingly.

But the big question is: Will this make any difference to your adsense earnings?

After reading this digitalpoint forum post maybe we should consider using infolinks over kontera @ HubPages http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1046479
