   Wondering how many do them... I was debating it.. but did a personal one about how I lost weight... Just posted it today. Go take a look and let me know what yout think.

      Generally people here are sharing the topics based on their personal experience only. If you see in most of the hubs, the word "I", "We" can be seen everywhere..

   It's fine to do personal hubs as long as they also contain information relevant to other people.
   
   However don't expect a lot of external visitors to personal hubs, unless you have some kind of good keyword research involved.

   HubPages is really for articles and not for personal blogs (I have not reviewed your hub though). You can make a hub about losing weight that includes your personal experience however and that hub can do well. For the majority of the internet it will be hard to relate to *your* story as they are more interested in losing weight themselves.

   This is how hp defines low quality hub. So purely personal content is of low quality and worth flagging. But a informative hub with personal experience is good enough. I assume that your hub should be alright. I have a personal hub and that is performing well as it had good information and was researched well for keywords.
   
   In this particular forum you can post the link of your hub. So, when you would like to get constructive criticism please, post your link with a soft appeal to criticize you hub.

   Im new to all this but have done a couple of personal hubs, Im writing on here because it intrests me no more no less and if the hubs personal its generally a lot easier to write because your not having to research its coming from the heart so to speak The bueaty of a hub is you can write it about anything and as long as you enjoy doing it thats all that really matters.

   Well, here is my thoughts:
   
   ~The content is purely personal and don't offer much information.
   
   ~ Keyword research: poor
   
   ~ Title: Good
   
   ~ Page not optimized.
   
   You can:
   
   ~Add some information about why fast food is harmful and worth leaving.
   
   ~Split the text in three text capsules at least. First with 120-150 words. Second one with one or few sentences and the final one with rest of the text. Don't post the photo before third text capsule. Thus you will get the best ads placement to get clicked. Currently your 360x250 size block of ads is not placed on the top right corner of the hub that is the best place to get clicked. As you didn't use enough text capsule Google didn't get the space for posting their 420x50 size linear ads in your hub.

   Two capsules that are always good to use are RSS and News. I suggest using these capsules in your hub. RSS will keep your readers updated with your other hubs and News will refresh your content all the time and keep Google happy. I prefer using News capsule under comment capsule.
   
   More photo and video enhance the beauty of a hub and appeal the reader. You can always add a couple of relative images and one/two video in your hub.

   Your topic did not seem as personal as I expected from your question.
   
   I have seen some people do weight loss blogs journaling their diet and become very popular reading by the time they lose weight.  I think with diet the topic may go against traditional wisdom in that way. Lots of people are trying to lose weight so the keywords could be fine, but very competitive.
   
   Your story is very fast, start to finish, of your diet. There is very little practical advice to offer here.
   
   Some examples would be what did you eat instead of fast food?
   
   How did you handle your kids when they had to live without fast food and (I'm sure based on my own... ) complained or even experienced physical withdrawal symptoms.  How did you get them through that stage?
   
   I think you could write some very good and informative hubs on the subject.  A little personal experience in the mix, a few true stories as well as more facts on WHY is fast food bad in the first place could make an interesting hub.
