How to Diversify and Build An Online Empire

   I have been on hubpages for almost 16 months and have almost 300 published. Things have just started to improve in the last 2 months or so but I am still way short off $100 per month from adsense. I have a dismal amazon performance as I find writing product hubs a bit intimidating.
   
   I seriously need to boost my online revenue potential. I am sure that with time hubpages will be a great source of income for me. But in the mean time I need to do something else as well apart from hubs to increase my revenue potential.  I have limited to no knowledge of html etc so making an own website is a difficult option at the moment. Please advice how I can improve my income.

   With 300 hubs, you should have a lot more than $100 in adsense. I'd take a close look at each and every hub and try to turn it into a money maker.
   
   Is there something on every hub that someone will want to know more about so that they'll click an adsense ad. Is there something related to the text that they'll want to buy. Look carefully at the placement of your Amazon products. Every paragraph should have a product or adsense ad of focus, if your hubs are to make money.
   
   Look at your marketing copy. Is it keyword rich. Do you explain the items or concepts in detail in a unique way so that you can pick up long tail searches.
   
   HubPages is a great place to learn how to market. I would focus here until you reach a consistent $500 a month. Consider this an undergraduate degree in affiliate marketing.

   I just took a look at your hubs. You are really in competitive niches. Honestly I don't bother with health and personal finance. Way too competitive.
   
   Don't rewrite those hubs. Find less competitive niches.

      Good tips, Nelle. Before I roll out more hubs, I'm kind of wondering if I'm headed in the right direction because churning out hubs is...a lotta work!

   This forum post came up in my search for Adsense help. I'm glad I entered it. I never thought of what seems now a simple idea, to explain the items or concepts in detail in a unique way so that you can pick up long tail searches. I'm really new, and have just put the whole "long tail" idea out of my head because there's so many other things to learn.
   
   Also the suggestion about competitive hubs.
