I thnk the author would appreciate it. You might want to send a quick email making sure it is ok, but if it brings traffic, it should be ok.
Unless you mean to link to your hub from someone elses comment capsule. Then the definition of spam would be defined by the owner of said comment capsule.
That is true. I read it as putting a link to someone's hub on your own page. That would be ok
Putting links on comments to your own hub probably is not.

I've recently had a slew of really good, informative comments that have a link included to their comment's source of information.Should I accept comments with a link attached or is that still considered spam despite it being a well written, informative comment.
