Need help: WARNING: This Hub appears to be about debt

Does the warning mean it is unpublished, or that it may be unpublished later on?

My hub breaking free paying off credit card debt is about budgeting. A snowball debt elimination in which you find out what is the best way to pay down your debt. For example, is it better to pay off the lowest balance to highest balance or the highest interest rates to the lowest interest rate? Possibility of transferring amount from high interest rate to lowest interest rate if it makes sense. Dealing with the way people think about credit cards, and why it is so hard to eliminate. Going to the extreme of eliminating the use of credit cards all together.

The warning said it was based on a human review. How does debt consolidation fit into all of this? Isn't that going to a company to put all your debt into one big pile, and negotiates with the credit card companies? Then you pay the company, and in turn the company pays each creditor?

Also, someone suggested to divide up the hub into two hubs. I tried. Before I divided up, the one hub had a hub score of up to 71. After I divided, both hubs plummeted into the low 60's. I just recombined them. Would that make a difference on anything? I'm hoping the hub score will go back up after re-combining. Now I know not to divide up a hub into two separate parts.

I don't have any affiliate links, except the amazon links. All other links go to other hubs that I read and thought were helpful.

    Are the amazon links ok?

Is there anything I'm missing or that could be interpreted as debt consolidation?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Looks like they are just sending a warning ahead of time for those publishing in that category

      If you mean this Hub:
      http://hubpages.com/hub/Breaking-Free-F … -Card-Debt

then I think you're going to be OK.

The Hub looks informative and well put-together, and it does not have any affiliate links.

Those automated warnings (they never had anything about someone flagging them - trust me, I wrote them!) are just alerts to take another look at your Hub and make sure it meets the standard described. I think your Hub does. smile

        Thank you very much.

That is the hub I was talking about.

I remember seeing the extra text when I first clicked on the warning. I honestly don't know what happened. I know I clicked on the faq link. Twilight Zone.

Did I miss something? Since when are we not allowed to write about debt or debt consolidation, when it was a topic in the Money Grows on Trees Contest, was it not?

I wrote this hub for that contest. I must have missed something also.

Here is the warning. I swear there was more earlier about someone reporting it.

"Please review the automatically generated warning below, and correct the problem if possible. These warnings are only visible to you, the author.

WARNING: This Hub appears to be about debt consolidation
It appears this Hub might be about debt consolidation, a topic which has become saturated with low-quality Hubs published by affiliate marketers. Because of this, Hubs written on this topic must be of exceptional quality and can not contain affiliate links. Hubs that don't comply with our rules can be unpublished. However, high-quality, informative Hubs without affiliate links on this topic are welcome!"

I remember it went on to say if you have questions to post in the faq, which the link led me to this forum, resubmit it, or contact them. I can't find that information now.

There was something in the blog about new changes coming in and certain topics to be banned that were oversaturated.
This is yet another example of HP jumping the gun. They should have published a list of those subjects instead of moderating existing hubs. In fact I thought they were only going to ban those subjects in the future, not moderate hubs already written on the subject.
It really is turning into a guessing game - what they are going to do next?
I've got hubs I wrote for the contest on debt stuff sand they are not particularly high quality so I guess I'll be getting them unpublished too.

Izzy - I see one credit-card advice Hub by you, and it also is highly informative and without affiliate links. You should be fine, too. No need to panic. smile

OK, says I, calming down. That other thread wasn't up when I posted. It went up 3 minutes later.
And yeah, I really don't have any affiliate links on my hubs, but if it's the subject matter PLUS affiliate links then I've nothing to worry about.
