Arkansas is once again under the gun with tornado outbreaks this evening. it has turned out to be more severe than forecast. I knew it was extremely humid today and it got hotter than predicted.
First round has passed here and into the eastern half of the state and the storms continue to intensify. Another round is coming in now and should not be as severe as the first round.
I sure hope the next couple of days is not a repeat of last weeks storms across the southern U.S.
Passed north of us here....just a drop or 2 of rain so far. Windy, though, with gusts. Humid....X 100!!!!~
Already had 3 T-Storms with hail move through here. The radar shows more on the way again. It is going to be a long night.
Time to log off again, The lightning has arrived. Looks like 2 more storms headed this way now.
I'm west of St. Louis, and yesterday morning we were hit with strong winds, and golf ball sized hail. Other places got it a lot worse.
But, last night was terrible. I went out with a friend to get some food at Denny's, and we saw the guy's from the Discovery Channel show "Storm Chasers" or whatever. Fully geared, everything. But it wasn't just them. The whole are was filled with out of towners and chasers, Facebook was blown up about it.
The Storm build up quick around 5. Further west and south where it was coming from, there had been reports of tornados, and grapefruit sized hail. Well, we took a direct hit several times. Sometimes we'd get small pea hail, and others golf ball. Eventually we were hit with baseball sized hail. Sounded like the house was going to fall apart. Reed Timmer from that show intercepted a tornado north east of us, but it wasn't as big as it could have been. When it was all said and done, the temperature had gone from 86 to 40.
I feel your pain man, kind of. We don't get hit continuously like you all do down south in Arkansas and Oklahoma, but this was some pretty intense stuff. Did you see what the storm looks like now, passing through Kentucky?
myson is a history teacher in Florida. He rang to tell us about his experience a few weeks ago. He had tornado alert in the school, and some of the kids were extremely afraid.
it is difficult for me to understand as i have never experienced extreme weather conditions like this, but it is devastating for people i imagine.
Well, we got drilled again. St. Louis, and the surrounding areas are wrecked. The madness never ends.
I saw this on the news. St Louis really got hit hard with this storm.
We were talking about the St. Louis tornado last night, about the airport closing and all of the destruction. How are you doing now?
We had tornado sirens go off during the night Friday night, but nothing was ever said on the radio about it. The sirens may have just been meant to signal a severe thunderstorm that time.
I've never seen baseball-size hail. I'm curious, but not sure I want to see that in person.
St Louis has whole neighborhoods demolished and the airport is a mess.
I feel your angst,MH!
I was awakened at 2:30 am with tornado sirens again and had to wait out the rotating winds that came very close to my home ..It's going to be a threat until Thursday..
I know the Gulf state get the first threats so I know you're probably tired of it by now..
the people in Arkansas are getting hammered this week..
I had two tornadoes warning in my area of Kentucky already this
morning and more later.
the Mississippi and Ohio rivers are over their banks and some dams are about to breech.Louisville is flooded as many other towns along the rivers before mentioned...what a week!
I hope hubbers that live in these storm areas are alright..
Most of the severe weather has come at night. That has been the worst part. Usually storms will calm down, but not this time.
After today is finally over, we are suppose to get 2 clear days. Whew!
The storms for the weekend are not, as this time, expected to be as severe as we have had the past week. So, that also will help those States around us also.

Rough evening and night yesterday and now tornadoes warnings are rapidly popping up again all over southern Arkansas. Temp reached upper 80's here today and it is extremely sticky outside. Weathermen are saying the atmosphere is more conducive for tornadoes this evening than yesterday.

The Tornadoes broke out quickly and a couple of hours earlier than expected. Already 4 warnings very close by. Hail in these storms and told to expect very large hail. So, if I disappear for a while...it will probably be because of the storms or loss of power. These storms tonight are suppose to come...
