Under my account click on earnings. Then you will see where you need to put the code.

    Hi,

You don't have to paste a code directly on your hubs.  Go into "My Account", then "Earnings", then you will see an option to configure Google Adsense.  When you open that you will paste your long affiliate code...it should start with a ca-pub-and then a bunch of numbers.  Save and that's it.  The ads automatically show up on your hubs.

Hope I explained this right.....let us know if you figure it or if you have another question.

    Welcome!

Were you actually approved for Adsense or did you just apply? You'll receive an email from Adsense after applying to say they're considering your application but it can take a few days to get approved. During that time your account exists but will not work properly till approved.

If you know you have been approved, wait a day or two and the problem should work itself out. With the number of hubs you have, and your traffic, it's unlikely you're missing out on much $$.

          Thanks WryLilt
Yes I have been approved. I'm not so much concerned about the money that I am losing out on at the moment. I just want to get learning and figuring the whole thing out!

Why don't you paste the contents of Google's email (omitting personal information) here, so we can see whether you have understood it correctly. It is possible that you have actually not been approved yet, but the application has been received.

If you have been duly approved, the massage should start with "Welcome to AdSense...."

Congratulations on your new Google AdSense account! In order to begin participating in the AdSense program, you'll need to generate and implement your ad code ....
Guys, I do understand the basics, I just dont understand why Hubpages is still telling me that my account is pending approval??
I'm sorry if i sound aggravated but the whole application process has taken forever and has been far more complicated than it ever needed to be.

I expect that you gave Google (via HubPages affiliate settings) the digits for the zip code and phone number that you used to sign up for AdSense. Subsequently, you should have received an email message from Google with a link to click on. Once clicked, the AdSense affiliate ID should be automatically filled in, and the status should change to "active."

Unless that email was received and the link clicked, the activation cannot be completed. This is just for the record.

Did you approve hubpages in your Adsense account to display your adverts?

Log into your Adsense account, click on My Account, Account Access, then enable access for that site.

It just doesn't allow me to enable access for any site even though I applied through HP not sure which side the problem lies on.
