Two of my hubs are getting substandard warning again and again. HP sends the following message that makes no sense to me.
In mail:
Dear saleheensblog,
Your Hub has been identified as a violation of our Terms of Use. If this is the first time you've gotten an email like this, don't worry! You'll have an opportunity to fix it.
Problem: Substandard (see below for details)
A link to your Hub: h ttp://hubpages.com/hub/-___o___-
Substandard can mean::
* An empty or short Hub
* Poor spelling or grammar that interferes with the readability/credibility of the Hub
* A Hub with awkward or difficult-to-read formatting
* A Hub with a full-width link, news, comment, rss, or product capsule as the first capsule of the Hub
* A Hub with broken links or missing videos
_________________________________________________________
In hub:
The quality of this Hub does not live up to HubPages' standards. It may be empty or unfinished, poorly formatted (including having a disallowed capsule in the first full width position), contain broken links or videos, or grammar/spelling mistakes that interfere with the readability of the Hub. These factors diminish the value of this Hub to our community.
Please make the changes necessary in order to bring this Hub up to HubPages' standards, and then use the Submit for Publication button. We will review your Hub, and if appropriate, republish it. This process can take up to 72 hours. Hubs without substantial improvement will not be republished, and we will be monitoring any changes made to Hubs after republication.

I have mailed them a few times to specifically mention the problem but they don't care at all. What can I do now? The hubs are amazon hubs. The grammar and spelling are OK if not great. Word-ads ration is fine also. Both have around 600 words. There are no broken links in the hubs. No full size amazon capsule has been been placed on top. I have a very decent and simple format for the hubs.

I would request to the team to kindly mention what is/are the problems of the hub??????????????????????????
I have tried to make several changes ever time I have subtitled for publication but I have got the same reply repeatedly. If it has been review manually why can't they tell me reason behind the penalty?
Can you provide a link to the hub. Or put it in extreme hub makeover. Good luck and don't worry. Plenty of hubbers experiencing difficulties at the moment.
Hey Saleheen,
I am going to take a stab at it, just from seeing your post to this thread.
First off, last time I checked you cannot have an Amazon capsule at the top of the hub. You have one in both your written displays.
Secondly, since English isn't your first language, I would suggest you dive into learning more about it. It could be your usage of words either typed or spelled, which is causing the problem.
It happens when people are not familiar with the English language. Certain words are spelled as they sound and many are not. There happens to be quite a few words, people from other countries, use in the wrong place and do so quite often.
I hope that helps.
Saleheen, your use of English is superior to Cagsil's.
Cags, thanks for the input; much appreciated. I have photo on top and although I have amazon ads with the first text capsule those are not in full size. Only full width capsules have been prohibited. I really suck in English but one doesn't need a great command over English to write a sales hub. Moreover, I have checked the spellings in MS word. I will take a closer look again for sure as I know I have a lot to improve in English yet. My only objection is if there are problems why don't the team mention it specifically.
I would strongly consider changing the order of your capsules. I really think you're being penalized by google for not having text capsule first. I'm just guessing, but that's what I'm slowly learning. You could experiment, and if you don't get the substandard warning, then you know you're on to something good.
From my perspective, your English is fine. There may be picky things here and there, but I don't see any cause for alarm. But that's my opinion.
If changing the order of the capsules doesn't work, then try something else. The best thing about HP is that we can edit and change any hub any number of times. You have to be fearless in trying new things. If it doesn't work, you learn and try something else.
You conquered adsense, so I know you'll conquer this one, as well.
See, and I would think just the opposite. It's one thing to read a hub. It's another thing to actually trust the author enough to click a link and then purchase something. I'm more apt to wade through bad English on an information article than one trying to sell me something.

Spellcheck wont catch properly spelled words that are used incorrectly. Try going into your settings or options for your Word program and set the notifications to be more strict. (In Word 2010 its under File/Options/Proofing)
I have to agree with Cagsil on the English topic. I just glanced at a few of your hubs and the ones I looked at are really outstanding products hubs (better than many I've seen on Hubpages) but there are a few wording issues that could be causing you to get flagged.
What about this one? http://hubpages.com/forum/post/1628229
I have Hubs that are over a year old and are only just getting emails from HP that they are a violation and should be edited.
If they are unpublished, I will re-publish them on other sites that I write for. It's that simple...

The question of whether poetry Hubs should have 400-word minimums came up in this thread a few minutes ago:http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/70203#post1528809I've been puzzling about what to do with poetry Hubs I've found while hopping. I haven't flagged any of them, because poetry is a unique...

I'm new here at HUB and every one of my hubs has warnings and I've been told that I will be terminated soon because everything I post is substandard. I have read all the Terms. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong and since I'm "punished" and none of them can be viewed, I...

Along with the Google effect lately I've seen a lot of forum posts about spam, and every time I hub hop it is obvious that there is a lot submitted here of both spam and simply substandard hubs.I would suggest that the following rules apply to the first 5 (or 10 or 20?) hubs by any new...

Rather distressing to find a Hub being flagged back at me as 'substandard'. especially as some readers have given it very positive feedback - worse, the list of possible reasons for it being a 'violation' (very strong accusational phrasing) is very unspecific, especially as the Hub has been pulled...
