   This issue is a ticklish one.  We can't arrive at a really objective answer by letting just anybody inject his personal bias selection.  The best move is to submit the issue to a latest decision made by a truly legitimate basketball body like the NBA concurred in by a great majority of sportswriters and basketball fans or enthusiasts.  I hope somebody will post said 10 world's greatest basketball players following the preceding criteria.

      There is no such thing. These types of rankings are almost never the same amongst sportswriters, people affiliated with the NBA, or people who have been die-hard basketball fans for decades. As such, you are correct in your thought that ranking the top 10 players of all-time is about as subjective as can be.  It's just so difficult to compare players who played in different decades because each decade in the NBA has been different. The game has evolved. Everyone's criteria for judging players is different and everyone has a little bit of bias of some sort in their rankings. Although these types of rankings are always fun to compose and debate, it's also frustrating when people believe their list is the ultimate be-all-end-all rankings and everyone else's is wrong.  That's something you'll commonly see on forums across the net and that's unfortunate.
      
      With all of that said, my list would be a little different in terms of the position of players than the one you posted, but out of all of the lists posted thus far mine would be closest to yours.

      Since you are going to have more than 10 you have to include Rick Barry. I saw him score 50 points before the 3 point line and I saw him pin a Willis Reed dunk against the backboard when he could jump like superman.
