Anyone who can give me tips to maintain my hubscore? last week I got 74, but after the weekend it dropped to 62. Very high leap.

      1) Traffic
      2) Being active in the community (hub hopping and insightful and length hub comments work wonders, one liners won't help)
      3) Quality of your articles (length and quality of information, good SEO (anchor text, relevant diversified quality oubound links e.t.c etc)

I find those three have a appreciable effect on hubscore, whereas forum commenting / answers and fan following do, but to a lesser extent.

The most important thing is to stay over 75, the rest is fluff.

Just keep on writing more hubs and share it with everyone on facebook and hubpages group on facebook, you will get traffic through this to your hubs which will increase your hub score.  Write hubs about ineteresting subject so people will comment on your hubs which will also increase your hub score and more importantly write good quality original content and make sure your article is long (atleast 500 words).  Participate in hub forum also and follow other people who has good quality hubs.  Thanks.

That's a large drop so you may have
made the mistake I did - read a hub I wrote called How New Hubbers Ruin Their Hubscore

This is just a guess based on something I have read in the forums before - you may have 'followed' too many Hubbers too quickly (sorry that sounds strange but I cannot think how else to word it).

Visit the learning centre to read more about following etc.

I think it is because it is a technique used by spammers (i.e.to add a follow to lots of people in a short space of time).

I don't think so 2uesday simply because as a Hubgreeter I can follow quite a few everyday and it hasn't really had any effect. I think the reverse is also true, in the sense that fan accumulation has a negligible effect on hubscore. I could be wrong (because of the reasons you mentioned).

I have to agree. Looking at your Hubtivity, you followed like 30 plus people for the last 2 - 3 hours. That's one of the things I always see in the past as the reason behind a sudden drop in the score. Before you followed these hubbers, what was your score?

yah right! Before I logged out last Saturday, my score is 74, but last Tuesday it dropped to 62.

As I said in that hub I wrote, following too many people is not the issue - following people withou reading their hubs is the killer . This tells the system you are following people just to get traffic.

Thank you so much. I read the hubs that you recommended to me. It enlightened my mind on my problem. It answered by question.

whiplashinfo, I am also unable to understand this.Sometimes, I participate in forums and answer the questions, then also it declines and last week, I wasn't active for some reason, then there was a sudden rise in the score..So, now I have learnt  to ignore it.It's better to concentrate on creative work.

Agree - ignore the weekly ups and downs- it's the big drops that tell you something is wrong

Definitely, my score varies by about 6 points, and I can never figure out why. I used to spend more time hub hopping though. I think it's the best way to find out what's happening. You can quickly bookmark some good hubs you want to read better when you have more time, and can mark down the really bad ones that make us all look bad. I think it's slow since it's summer. I haven't been writing much, or even home as much. Just keep thinking up ideas and writing. Go back and fix up the first hubs you did. Before you know it, the score hops up again when you least expect it.
