I have a hub about protecting PC and data from hacking <link removed>. My major keyword is "save computer from hackers". My hub is on the first page of Google, Yahoo and Bing for this keyword but the traffic is not coming from these sources. What should I do to solve this problem? Is it something do with the age of my hub because it is only 11 days old.
Perhaps, sometimes it takes a few weeks to receive organic traffic.
As skear said, NOBODY will search " save computer from hackers". They would search for
stop hackers
prevent hackers
block hackers
protect computer
safe computer
and so on
Your hub is indeed the third result on Google for "save computer from hackers", although I don't think anyone is searching for that phrase.
When I look it up in the Google keyword tool it shows no monthly searches.
So although you have ranked high for the phrase unfortunatly it seems it's not one that will likely bring much traffic.
Like Hollie said it's not a very old hub, over time you might find it ranks for different keywords than you expected.
The keyword tool shows 0 monthly searches for that keyword. "protect your PC" and "computer hacking tips" both show only 320 searches per month - a figure really too low to consider if there is any alternative.
"computer security" shows 22,200 searches and "computer hacking" shows 12,100.
I would say that you have chosen very poor keywords for the hub. You may be in #1 spot for a given keyword but if no one is searching for that term you will still get no views.
I find the use of the keyword tool to be vital to writing a hub that gets organic traffic. They keywords that I would search for seldom match what the public uses.
Skear is absolutely right. If no one is searching for your keywords where will the traffic come from? You need to refine your keyword search and find one that is commonly searched for, in order to get traffic.
Old or new, if your hub is the first on G search traffic will flow in .. if that is a term that people are looking for. I am sure you could find some other keyword for the same hub and get it to rank well and get your traffic.. just some more work involved.. some lateral thinking perhaps?
Leaving your links here is not allowed .. so you may want to edit it out before Admin catches up...
Well.... have a look at the Google Adwords keyword tool - its free and will give you an idea of traffic volume for keywords. It is not 100% accurate, but it is a good guide, plus its free.
Find similar keywords which are getting traffic, add them to the tags (dont go mad with tags), use the title turner to insert the one you want to target, and work that keyword phrase into your hub. Alternatively, start from scratch and write a new one, researching the keywords first.
Did you check the keyword tool before you changed your title... look up the learning center you have a lot of information that will help you fine tune your hub.

I have changed my title to a better keyword "protect from hackers". I have also added in tags. The traffic is rising. Thanks for helping every one.

I have a topic that I researched in Google keyword tool. There were thre columns- Competition,Global Search and Local Search. WhatI realize from reading other hubbers is that traffic and clicks depend on 'evergreen' topics, knowledge, interest, luck, precise keywords for search engines, satisfying needs...

I was deciding on revamping my Oil Shale hub. When looking through the Google Keywords Tool, I had found that A LOT of the keywords I would LIKE to use are mostly Medium to High Completion.Usual because the generic term "oil companies" ranks LOW, with 1.2 million in searches a...

I think my last try was over a year ago. I honestly have never had success with it EVER, even with third party tools, bar ONE title about three years back. If you're freaked out by it, don't stress. You don't HAVE to do keyword research to get good traffic. Personally my two go-tos right now are:1....

I thought I might try to monetize a very old hub of mine, which is a short story (The Punky Wunkies). Currently, the keywords I am using are:"arts, Israel, short story, musicals, circumcision, freedom of religion, ATF, the first amendment, Branch Davidians, Establishment Clause, how to find...

Hi all. I just started this thread because I need some advice on choosing keywords. Sometimes when selecting keywords, I choose the keywords with about 200 global searches a month but not much competition. This is good and I rank very well for those keywords but I feel that I don't get enough...
