I don't see how you could say one way or any other was "best." That is why we are afforded the options. I believe that it is down to the number of photos and how much space they would claim simply posted one after another and the general "feel" of the Hub.

If ninety percent of the Hub is taken up by one photo after another, that will in most instances be too much, so a slideshow would be better. At the end of the day, though, each Hub's creator has to decide which looks best on their Hub and live with that decision or amend it depending upon the Hub's performance.

I think it depends on the hub topic and overall layout, as to how to use your pictures- thumbnail, border, no border, etc.

I opt for the slide show if the topic is right. Most of my gadget hubs don't have slide shows even if they have 5 pictures; although some of them do.

I think it depends on how many pictures you need in relation to your subject. Sometimes you may need pictures in your text capsules to visually represent that particular item, other times a slide show may be more suitable. Some hubs will need only one picture etc.

that's a good question...i think it depends on your story line...

i've never used a slideshow but i'm going to try it with a how to make old fashioned bread hub. Now this is not a plug for a hub...just another learning experience on how to tell a story.

This is also in breaking my own hubchallenge rule of staying with a theme but rules are made to be broken....so they say.

I use photos in my hubs to either illustrate something or to break up the blocks of text.

    Generally,
    There is no best way.

    To be precise,
    that Depends on
    1) Your way of presenting -
Some people don't like pasting one after another , they like slide shows...But some don't.
    2) General reader liking -
its the opinion that if you got >4-5pics and hub is not related to picture showcasing or say photography...its better to put a slideshow.
    3) Content of hub-
Again, if hub is themed related to those pictures and pictures are >4-5 pics.... one should still stick to solitary layout.
except if they are to many in number ..say HQ >10-15 images ...in which case...as Slideshow will be inevitable for preventing ur hub converting into a image gallery
    4) Length of hub -
If you fell a hub is gettin lengthy , adding a Slideshow is prudent

    I hope that helps
    Regards smile

It depends..I have never used slide show..as I think very less people goes throgh it..
Whichever hub type is use related pics only...not necessary to border..but if u want to make any pic more attractive u can border it...
    smile
