hey!!
anybody has any idea how long it takes hubs to come on search engines??
They get indexed pretty quickly although a number of factors will dictate how quick they find it to the top few pages.Pinging your hubs also helps them get indexed quickly. They usually get indexed within a day or two sometimes even quicker.
hey rob!! thankx for replying
i am new here, can u please tell what do u mean by pinging??
Pinging is letting the search engines know about your content. Helps Search engines to index your hubs faster.
Here try this one.. there are many others
http://www.pingler.com/
You're welcome cheek0o.Sofs pretty much summed it up.Only ping new content or hubs or when you make ammendments and/or otherwise update existing hubs or content you have - i.e dont over do it. http://pingomatic.com/ is another good one - just enter the title of your hub or blog etc. in the first line then enter your hub's address etc. in the next line - you can leave the RSS LINE blank if you want, check all the services and just hit the send pings button and you're done :-)
I Tried pingomatic but it didn't work. I tried pingler and it did one hub. So we ping each hub on one site?
Not sure why it didn't work for you Xenonlit as i've never had a problem with it but there are numerous ones so just use one that works for you. Pinging isn't an absolute necessity btw it just helps get your hubs, blogs or sites noticed and indexed by the search engines a bit quicker than they may otherwise be although i think hubs get indexed relatively quickly in any event as hubpages is a big and well established and therefore frequently crawled site.
Yes you need to ping each new hub seperately and then afterwards only if you update or add to or change them significantly. You can ping them on more than one ping site if you like but i wouln't be too bothered about that - there may be some overlap between them anyway and pinging the same site multiple times without there having been updates etc to the site is not appreciated by the search engines - so i'd stick to pinging each hub once on whatever ping site you choose and leave it at that until you update or change said hubs in the future and you can ping them again.Hope that helps :-)

How and where can we get our hubs indexed in search engines? There are some hubs and articles, but they are not up with the times. Is there a list of places where we can index our hubs ourselves?

How do I find out if a Hub is indexed by search engines?I've noticed other Hubbers mentioning that they check to see if their hubs are indexed by the search engines like Google. How do I do this? Sorry if the answer is painfully obvious, I'm just not very savvy when it comes to this stuff! Thanks
