I'm going to be making a big welcoming fall dinner, with herbed chicken, green beans, acorn squash and apple cider. Probably lighting a ton of candles and being thankful for the harvest and what the god and goddess have given to us. What are you all doing in celebration of Mabon?

Hope you remember the starving that day and the harvest your gods and goddesses did not provide them.

Wonderful plans you have-we are going upstate New York to the Renaissance Faire in Sterling Forest...

What's Mabon?  Not the Autumnal Equinox is it? (Astronomically, that's Wednesday). I've never hard of Mabon before.

"Most Pagans are somewhat flexible about dates, tending to celebrate at the nearest weekend for convenience."

Mabon is another name for the Autumnal Equinox, Jeff.

I have not heard of it either, but if it involves being thankful for a good harvest, that sounds like a great thing to celebrate.

This past weekend was my local Pagan Pride and I was helping host a booth for that.  On the actual equinox, I'll do private ritual.  And then this weekend, a friend and I are taking a ghost tour, and if the weather is good, I'll work on a bit of the last of my garden harvest and getting some winter crops and cover crops sown.

Sounds like your Mabon went splendidly. Thanks for sharing, Relache. What type of winter crops do you work with? Blessed Be.
