Hey, I would like to ask for support here.
I have lost all of my Google traffic in the last two days. I went from around 500 views/day to 80 views/day. (That's from the HP stats.) I went from ranking on the first page, even in 1st or 2nd ranking to not ranking at all in the first pages, for several keywords.
My page rank is still 3, but this afternoon, when I put my domain under site:prairieprincess.hubpages.com, my pages weren't even coming up first. It backlinks to my stuff coming up first.
The things I have done differently is that I did start using Social Monkee, and have created about 150 backlinks to my subdomain. I have also started writing at Wizzley, and interlinking some of the articles from there and back.
I am wondering about a Google penalty, or sandboxing? But it just seems strange because I am so small. I have never even reached Google payout (I was hoping for this month!)
I know that no one can really do anything about it, per se, but could you tell me what you think, based on your own experience?
You might have just been a late arrival to the plunge - surge - plunge club. A lot of others went through plunging and surging a while back.
I know nothing about Social Monkee or what ramifications that would have. Interlinking articles with Wizzley shouldn't have made any difference.
There is something weird going on.

The first article, from a very high quality and authoritative newspaper site tells of an upcoming EC ruling that looks as if it will find against Google.
This was published two days ago, and yesterday my remaining hubs that survived the 'sandbox' or 'slap' or whatever term is used to describe Google removing most of its traffic from my subdomain fell completely from the last bit of grace Google.com offered them.
At the same time, ALL of my hubs have moved right up in Google EU - in other words in all the European Googles.
Which is a shame really because my sales hubs are aimed at Google.com users - ie Amazon.com.
So my traffic is the same or up, because it is hitting a new market here in Europe.
I see Prairieprincess is from Canada.
Has anyone else seen a change in traffic, either up or down, who lives outside of the States?
Traffic from Google has moved up since yesterday.... I had been sandboxed for six months and after coming out of it my traffic has been steady for the last two months..yesterday there has been an upward movement in traffic.. I wonder it has anything to do with the season, but most of my hubs are informational in nature.
So, you were sandboxed, Sofs? What did you do to get out of it? I am wondering if I might have been but I can't think of why, when I am so small, with just around 500 views a day. I was just starting to get good traffic and now it is cut to a fifth of what it is.
I am wondering if I should ask Google to "re-consider," as they put it, or if there's anything I can do.
Izzy, I am glad for you, that you're coming out of it.
I'm not coming out of it, I'm still firmly in the sandbox according to google.com.
I am seeing my European Google sandbox lifted, I think partly due to a hurried algo change Google has felt obliged to make ahead of a European court ruling.
Every time Google messes, they break something else, and it looks like you have been hit this time, Prairieprincess.
I am sorry, especially at this time of the year
Still, it might only last a week, so cheer up
I don't know why my subdomain got hammered. They probably don't know either.
But if they would just stop trying to play politics and get back to being a search engine, we'd all be better off.
Thank you, Izzy. Yes, I was looking forward to Christmas sales this year. Somehow it is comforting to know that it's just a thing, and hopefully not anything I've done wrong. And if it's just a week, that would be fantastic. What a strange game this is!
And yours sounds so strange, too. It is weird that they keep making all these changes that play with people's lives, essentially. I read your articles and it's interesting that they're actually going to try to sue them. Wow.
Prairieprincess, I did not know that I was sandboxed until the end of the six months... it was then someone suggested that I check to see if I was and I was..so I never did anything purely out of ignorance..
I really hope you do find a way out..it had been a harrowing experience for me.
Sounds like what happened to me a couple of months ago. Don't even ask me how or why I got in the sandbox or how or why I got out of it, but I did. Just hang tight, PrariePrincess. It'll turn around.
Wow. Thanks for sharing, you guys.
You really can't take anything for granted, in this biz, I guess.

I was loving that my traffic was doubled for a while... it was hitting levels I had never seen before on HubPages. But today I just noticed it's down at least 1,000 views, and I check pretty much every day.I'm not sure what could have caused this but the only thing I've done different is I've been...

Why did my traffic went down from 500 views / day to 27 views / day in only 24 hours?I have a hub, about Father's Day. In went online in April. In May I had a rapid growth. And on June 5th I had more than 500 views / day only for this hub alone. I know it's a seasonal topic. However, Father's Day...

Since I migrated here from Squidoo two months ago, I've seen a steady stream of threads in this forum, complaining about lost page views. There are a lot of theories about why it's happening, and how much it's happening, and what can be done to get into Google's good graces.Google is not my #1...

I know this is a sad song, you've heard it before, but guess what? It's getting worse and worse and worse.Plus, some bug bit my left hand, it itches like crazy. I'm determined not to scratch (cortizone is near by, although I'd rather not).I'll suffer the itch on my hand like the itch on HP.Really,...

I am experiencing an overall average off 66 percent less page views per day, for seven days versus a week previous and for the past two months. Such a huge drop in page views makes me think that Google has tuned up something again. I do know that I don't have the time and energy to keep...
