I'm curious about something.
My traffic, more or less from the beginning, has always been predominantly from the search engines and not so much HubPages. Still, hubbers from my page. I'm curious how.
Do hubbers search for topics on HP? Or is there some showcase that I don't know about on hp that circulates everybody's hubs?
There are several places HP showcases hubs. Hub of the Day, something about school or education, etc. They also place links to "similar" hubs on each hub - I often get traffic from these.
In addition I (and I think many others) search HP before google for many things. In general I find the writing a higher caliber than what google produces.
Hey there Sophia if at all you've interlinked hubs and you're Google visitors have clicked them they turn into HP visits as they clicked it through a Hub and not google, that's the reason you get HP visits in addition to the reasons already mentioned
Same as wildy here I check HP for anything and I get almost all that I need right here
each one of your followers should be notified when you publish a new one.
Well, I have found some hubs while searching for something on Google. I see some on Facebook. I see some on my feed. I get notificatons for those I follow. If I see a new person on the forums I will sometimes visit their profile and a hub or two.
Thanks. I didn't realize people searched hubpages for info. I guess I've also interlinked those hubs that are associated with each other, but that's not many. From experience, I have a few hubbers (who have become friends) who comment on most of my hubs (as I do there's). However, I can tell from my numbers that most followers don't read what I write.
Just 5% of your followers may actually read what you write. I read but not always if the title interests me I bookmark them to read later.
I think 5% is a lot. I think 5 do!!! But that's okay. I follow less than a dozen people but at least, even if I don't comment, I know what they've written!
Ya that's true For me 5% is 5 haha I got 96 followers

Just a quick question, as above, does having followers help your hubs/hubscore?

In my years on this site I have seen so many people randomly follow me in hopes that I follow them back. And then as soon as I do, if the topics they write on interest me, they delete me from the hubbers they're following?Do you guys really think this makes people want to read and comment on...

How is it that a hub on the 'common mistakes new hubbers make' can suddenly become not featured, in spite of the fact it has had 9 views in a day, 24 views in 7 days and 35 views in the last 30 days? I only replied to comments on it both 42 hours ago and 22 hours ago (from two different hubbers)....

So I was bored and decided I would Google some of the topics of a few of my most recent hubs... Two of them popped up on the FIRST PAGE!! WHHHHHAAAAATTT?!??! lol. Sorry, I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place for this, but I almost swallowed my own tongue I was so excited and I need to tell...

Is it only me, or are there others who think that it should be a common courtesy to reply to comments made to a hub. I always reply to comments made by my followers and others, and people who I follow do the same. I have noticed however, that some hubbers have comments left on their page, and they...

We all appreciate that it's our own responsibility to protect our own work, but it's a big job, and it's in HubPages interest to help us, because plagiarism affects the whole site's income. On another thread, there have been several suggestions of features HubPages could add. So far we have:-...
