Who here is voting for Rick santorum? the reason this post falls under the religion category is because he seems to base too many of his arguments and beliefs solely on his religious beliefs it angers me sometimes. please discuss your feelings on him and his campaign from a religious standpoint.

I think religion and politics are too dipolar, it cause too many problems to have them under the same roof.

It's upsetting to me too when laws and regulations are proposed or made based off specific religious beliefs because there is supposed to be a separation between church and state. Not everyone in this country has the same beliefs, yet certain (not all) religious people in power seem to have an agenda and they forget that we are a diverse nation.

It seems that, along with a lot of other freedoms we are supposed to have like free speech, are being disregarded these days.

I personally would never vote for Santorum, nor anyone who ever has a religious agenda or belief behind their politics. I honestly don't take him seriously, especially based off his recent comments about education and I doubt he will win the primaries.

Right now he has to appeal to the Republican base. So, we will all be nauseated by the rhetoric. Whoever wins the nomination will then have to woo the rest of us. And shirt sleeve faith will disappear from the conversation.

Either way, I've heard enough. I agree with you that he's basing stances on faith. Which makes him not a candidate for all of the people. He won't get my vote if he is on the ballot in November, unless he can convince me that he'll keep his personal faith where it belongs.

If this country were left to nothing but christians, this country would fall apart in a day. There would be full reform of military and social institutions, non-believers would be in big trouble. It would start out relatively nice, then the witch hunts would start. None would be safe, not even other christians.

Wow woe woe to America; for verily thou must make thine choice betwixt a right wing fair weather fundamentalist, a cultic Mormon, and a satanic Islamist in disguise who wants to kill thy country with socialism. lol
