A Hub, an Examiner and a Kindle Title a day for five days

Anyone wanna do this with me?

I'm the examiner.com home gadgets person, and I wanna review a gadget a day all this (work) week.

I also want to publish a free short story a day on Kindle. I've also got a lot of short stories. They're mostly humorous. A lot have to do with cats and frequently at the end a cat barfs and saves the world or brings two lovers together or saves the wedding. Considering the amount of cat barf I have to clean up that doesn't save the world or do anything romantic, I want to put it in my stories and somehow get something out of it.

Finally, a Hub a day. Here are the subjects I'm thinking of

How to lose weight (Ha! That should go over well. The Internet has so little offerings in this area. No, seriously, my approach is unique. It relies on controlling blood sugar by frequent testing.)

Facial rejuvenation through the application of lots of freaking money. Just being honest. It does work.

How to give your cat the absolute life of luxury. The best food, the best toys, the best medical care, everything for our furry overlords.

SEO basics (I need to learn this, so why not write a hub while I'm at it. I think step 1 is to have unique, quality content.)

How to sound like a jerk ("reaching out" to you with all the "paradigm shifting" "methodologies" so that, "moving forward," you can sound as pretentious and ignorant as "my colleagues and I."

Anyone wanna join in? I could use some suggestions for hubs, too! I'm an ex math teacher, a lawyer, an ex UNIX sys admin, a humor writer, a suppository of cat knowledge, a picker, a grinner, a lover and a sinner, so how about suggest something along those lines. And, yeah, I know the word is repository, but doesn't suppository sound better?)

Do you make any money on Examiner?  I've known a couple of people who tried it and were pretty disappointed with the pay.

        Hi Chris Hugh,

I'm new to Hubs but I've been around the online writing world for a while.  Would love to see what you're doing with Kindle.  Can you share?

I've taken down more blogs than most people have ever put up!  I'm a freelancer and I just never have time to maintain my own blogs but I actually started setting up a new one today on Weebly.  (I'm tired of paying for hosting I'm not using  LOL)  http://shewritesalot.weebly.com/blog.html  That's the link but there's not much on it yet.

Anyway, I've had a sticky note on my computer for months to start publishing something, ANYTHING, on Kindle, just to start building up some kind of business for ME, instead of spending all my time making my clients rich.  So I was curious to see what you're doing.

I've heard some horror stories about formatting for Kindle and when I saw your post it blew me away that someone could have a goal of publishing something every day on that platform.

I'm going to peek over your shoulder occasionally and watch your progress  smile

How about we do it together, one a day for a week, starting today? I'll go first and tell you what I did. I think I really did it the hard way by doing all the formatting myself. I wanted to have tables of contents. This time, I don't need one. Heck, I didn't need one before, since no one bought the book. LOL. A friend of mine did a Kindle book using Word and she said it was easy and was amazed that I found it frustrating. I'm gonna do the same thing now.

Are you on Facebook? I'm there, same name Chris Hugh.
