I know a few hubbers also write for Examiner.com. Share your topic with us and we can support each other on the site.
I just started there as the Canada Green Living Examiner.
UW, could you explain a bit more about Examiner.com? I've heard it is a regionally-specific place for freelancers, is that right?
As you already know I'm the Canada Wedding Examiner. How is it going UW? Are you gone live already? I haven't been able to find you there yet. What name are you using? I'm still Zsuzsy Bee.
I believe Sweetie Pie is the Arts & Crafts Examiner for LA. However she must be busy as I haven't seen much of her around lately.
Yep, I'm live. I use my own name. I have added you and Sweetie Pie to my favorite examiners. I do find it hard to find people on that site
I can send you a link to my page if you want. Or...better still, click on the link to the site on my profile
I'm the Waco, Texas Travel Examiner. I've only recently been accepted and have only written one article so far. I need to get busy.
Even though I'm not a writer, I can be supportive. Should I go comment. Just tell me what I can do. And I'll scoot over.
You can subscribe so you can get a notification when people post new articles, just reading our articles would be appreciated
It is regionally specific but they also have national Examiners. I am a national Examiner, but there are also Examiners for different cities in the US and Canada. You should check it out.
Only if Bumble Town is in the US or Canada
Great.... I'm sure I could convince everyone in town to move! Alaska would be a good place to hide them
The Northwest Territories would be better...so much space
They need to be placed where nobody sees them!
Death from laughter is a crime over there isn't it?
Great to find this thread! I am the LA Arts and Crafts examiner, and I just added Zsuzy Bee and Uninvited writer to my favorites. I will add some of the other hubbers to as I find everyone, which is not an easy feat. Just wanted to remind everyone to make the link on the Hubpages profile to their examiner profile clickable, which means you get a backlink to your examiner articles.
Hi Sweetie Pie, hope you're well. I too find it hard to find anyone on the examiner sites. I added you to my favorites when I first started up but most of the time your articles do not show up for me to read... just as UW's do. Are you happy with examiner.com? I still find it a bit frustrating. The eternal question here--->are you making any money? Is it worth your time? How do I make my examiner profile clickable?
Don't you wish that navigation there was as easy as here on hubpages?
kindest regards Sweetie, take care
Zsuzsy
I do make money with them and I enjoy writing there, but I make much more with Hubpages. Mostly I like the examiner because it also means more links to my hubs, so for that it is good too! One thing I really did not like is how they think people should be out at events, so I just continue to write what is true for me in the world of crafting. You can highlight your examiner link on your Hubpages profile and click on the link button. That should make it clickable .
I certainly don't get the traffic there that I get here. It is hard to get around also.
This is my first Hubpages forum post! I'm the New Haven Movie Examiner.
Wow sneakorocksolid, thanks for the welcome. Why would you ask?
You really should just ignore that comment . Your topic on the examiner sounds interesting by the way!
and it's great advice. you'll find out soon enough about some of these, uh, hubbers. nope. community members. nope. annoyances. yes, that's it.
welcome to hp!
Movies are part of Hollywood's evil plot to turn Christians into atheists (and gay).
I'm a Grand Rapids MI New Age Examiner. I haven't written much over there this month with Bill in and out of the hospital.
I was doing OK there but I didn't get a payment this month, even though I met the criteria. It's not very transparent, the payment system--I mean, it's even less transparent than here--and the community is not that friendly over there either. But for a while the pay was pretty good.
I get a lot of snark in comments, but some nice ones too.
Welcome Uninvited Writer! (And everyone else!)
austin travel photography examiner.
yes, their pub tool is certainly a bit of a problem at times. although their short article format is appealing, it's not very motivating when often times it takes longer to publish than write!
That's the truth.
I also dislike their frequent emails about how to get fresh news instead of perennial content. Nice for them, if they can get people to do it, but remember when reporters had paying jobs? I mean, real jobs?
Sometimes the emails are so frequent it FEELS like I have a corporate job again (you get lots of generic emails pushing you to do more or do it differently or previewing new policies that seem to be constantly changing), only without the paycheck.
That's not a step up.
I just go ahead and write short evergreen content articles. Many other examiners do too, and I have reached payout a few times. Although I noticed lately it is getting slower, but my topic is not exactly the hottest one in the world.
Do they need anyone to examine the public transport system in Costa Rica (an otherwise thankless task)?
I'm the Boston Scrapbooking Examiner, but I've tried to include articles/events that are relevant to scrapbookers and paper crafters throughout New England. The link is on my profile page.
Thanks guys, I learn so much here!! Now I am checking out examiner.com...will comment on yours too. thanks again.
I stumbled into it once, wondered about it, and did not come back. I must check it again.
I was considering applying, but then a guy I know through FB posted a couple months ago that everyone should subscribe to him on examiner.com because that is how he gets paid now. That didn't sound like something that was worth the trouble. And now that I'm thinking about it, I don't recall seeing him link to many examiner articles lately on FB, which used to be a daily thing.
Also, I have joined the new ning group for the home and living examiners, if anyone else is interested:

Hi, I am new to the hub and I am also an examiner (SF Resumes Examiner). I would be so grateful for any tips on either site! How do I make money here? With ads?
Thanks!

Hey everybody,I recently started getting excited about my Adsense earnings as they seemed to be getting pretty consistent. Being new they are still low but they were getting pretty close to being $1 a day and sometimes up to $3 and $4. Really, I'm happy to see any earnings as I know they add...

What is your purpose for being on HubPages? Everyone had a purpose for joining, what was yours? When I ran across HubPages, it looked real cool I joined actually a couple years ago, but never did nothing with it. I wanted to write, but it seemed complicated. I love to write since a child. I think I...

Does anyone know any other site similar to Hubpages? I'm starting to like this site and I'm realizing that it's really better than all the other sites so, it would be nice to find another similar site.Anyone?

Before you read these below, please note that I included many translations to show the whole of the meanings of the original Hebrew as English words do not carry the weight of Hebrew word for word. You will see they get the same point across though. These show a very straightforward and matter of...
