What do you do when you have this strong feeling that another hubber copied your hub but did this rather smartly i.e. word joggling, rephrasing of sentences etc?

You have to be positive before you accuse people of plagiarism. Many people often write on the same subject. You can let Hubpages know if you suspect it.

It is hard to do anything about a spun article if it is done well. However, Google will consider one that is obviously spun upon filing a DMCA complaint. This is second hand information that was passed down to me by my webmaster. However, the only DMCA complaints that I have filed and gotten positive results on have been with a word for word copy of one of my articles or hubs.

In this instance that involves another member of HubPages, I would certainly second the suggestion that you get with HP staff with your suspicions and let them be the judge possibly.

Isn't it really bad the way Insurance Company promos always seem to get 'word joggled' and have their sentences rephrased by strangers and other Insurance Company promo writers? roll

I get your point and thank you for the comment. The hurt from seeing your work copied can only be felt by someone who truly put in the hours. Years of studying a subject and on the job cognate training are great skills to have when writing on a specialist subject like insurance.

There is not much you can really do. I personally write a lot about natural remedies. If I search the net I can find many that are similar to mine but I didn't copy and I'm sure they didn't either. Is this person your follower? Do you follow them? If you have a hubpages relationship with them you could make the most out of it and link the hubs.
