Am just venting warm air, here.
All week, have seen great things on my articles.
Red Arrows on more than half of them, some double red.
Two hubs tipped the 90 score back and forth for three days -and one jumped to 92.
Great, right?
Today, six blue arrows and scores back to the 80s! Ugh.
{ I mean, I enjoyed the 80s. Crazy clothes, great tunes, Blondie, the Go-Go's -- but oh, the 90s }
Sigh. Anyway, how is everyone else doing?
James.
My traffic, that only returned at the end of September after being absent for a year, started falling on Tuesday, and today as is low as it ever was.
Sigh!
Oye, Izzy, explains those big eyes in your avatar. lol.
My traffic has always been pretty steady. No major fluctuations.
Am not certain that is a good/bad thing. Just is what it is.
Thanks for sharing.
Love your sense of humor, James. Yes, it is exhausting isn't it? My traffic is as slow as molasses dripping from clogged up, sticky old spout. Jeeeez!! I'm a newbie so I've never seen good traffic. I've had my share of red arrows, even double reds, but it's all relative. One thing that I think is good is that HP earnings have continued to trickle up, one . . . penny . . . at . . . a . . . time, ssssslowly but surely increasing my earnings. Hang in there fellow hubber. I am.
lol. Love the molasses analogy, very clever.
I think it is gravity with mine, they get to a certain level then gravity takes over and grabs them. I have noticed that the same ones which get the red arrows for a few days get followed by the blues. My stats. fluctuate more than they use to, but I do not think it is the thermals that are causing it
I cannot really comment on my hubscores as they are not a stat. I look at or even notice very often.
I'll go with gravity. Double Red can often be followed by blue as the threshold is higher in expectation in the algo.
Fishing is always great! The mullet are running along the Atlantic beaches in Florida, with lots of predators following. Wish I was there right now!
Hey! Right, I heard Sandy is causing a big move of fish up the coast.
I'm not doing very well, either. Though my earning reports seem to always be pending for days until I see them, so who knows? Maybe when I finally get caught up I'll feel like I'm doing okay.
If it's any comfort, nearly the entire web is in the same boat: traffic almost always drops on Friday, drops more on Saturday, recovers a tiny bit Sunday, then climbs to a peak by Wednesday.
It's not so obvious when you look at your own traffic. However, when you look at a traffic graph for an entire big site like HP, you can easily use the dips to figure out where the weekends are. It's clear from those bump-bump-bump graphs that the weekend starts on Friday for a lot of people! My theory is that everybody's web surfing st work.
Yup, my traffic always goes down on the weekend, starting on Friday. And it comes back by Tuesday and Wednesday, the little that I have. I sure will be happy when I see one and two hundred views per hub, per day like I hear some hubbers talking about. Ho hum. (sigh)

So yesterday I spent a little time trying to backlink a few articles on blogs and xomba type sites. I am not sure that the xomba sites are what is working tho. What I did with the blogs is find some related blogs to the topic of my article and read em, then tried to write a nice quality comment for...

This is very, very, unfortunate, but it seems I have been penalized by a Google Alg or something. I have OVER 100 HUBS that have BLUE ARROWS. My traffic went down earlier this year a bit, but stayed consistent for several months. Now it has dropped by 50%. Not sure if this occurred today or...

I just noticed a blue arrow next to a hub I published this week. It's in the list of my hubs under my account page. What does it mean? It isn't the hub with the most views, unless it's a hub with the most views in the shortest amount of time, I do not know.

I thought I understood the little blue and red triangles. But not so sure.Of my 36 hubs I currently have four with the nasty blue triangles alerting me that traffic is falling. Three of these show some activity today. But the other 32 hubs have no triangles at all. So what's that...

We've been fairly busy at HubPages the last couple of days recovering from hardware issues with two of our five database servers. Fortunately we were able to cut over to our hot stand by machines with very little downtime. We've repaired the hardware and are now back to full...

One of the edits was a premium type. I've tried lots of different titles, but traffic has fallen from over 2000 views per day to 300. I'm not sure what I can do except maybe republish.https://owlcation.com/stem/Everything-A … and-Cosine
