Taking your questions one by one:

what is the number next to your profile means and how is it determined?
That is your Hubber Score - It is determine by many things, mainly the quality of your hubs and your interactions on the HubPages community. It's normal for it to start out low when you join and stabilise after 3-4 weeks. More here: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/hubs … bber-score

what are the requirements for acceptance to GoogleAdsense program?
Generally, HP recommends having around 15 high quality hubs before applying. There are lots of threads on the forums and in the questions section on this and I would recommend reading them.

how can you earn money without being part of GoogleAdsense?
You can earn money through the Amazon and ebay affiliate programs, which you have to sign up for separately. However, you will only make money if people click on your affiliate links and then purchase. For most people, the AdSense and HP Ad programs are the main sources of revenue on HP. More on Amazon here: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/crea … te-account and ebay here: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/sign … er-network

how long did it take you to start earning money from your hubs?
I started earning straight away since I already had an AdSense account and had a way of actively promoting my content (Google Plus)

What does it take to get accepted to the GoogleAdsense program?
      See above.

did you apply and get rejected? if so did you apply again and got accepted?
You can apply more than once to AdSense, however see above regarding quality hubs.

      Hope this helps, good luck!

      Paul.

Thank you so much Paul, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer each question. You explained everything very clearly and now I feel that I have a better understanding on how things work.  I will definitely be coming to you with any more questions.

I read everything and I did not find it very clear. I did not find it to be reader friendly at all. Thanks for responding.
