I see a hub with 100 score level? How they do that?

You have to bribe the fairies and gnomes - try magic mushrooms they like those best but avoid giving them toad's stools if you don't get the score you think you should get or you may find yourself victimized..

I was amazed and surprised when I woke up this morning to one of my hubs at 100! And, it's not even my best or favorite hub, the one that won "Hub of the Day", the one that gets the most traffic, or anything! I have no idea how come it shot up from mid-field to 100 literally overnight. If someone figures this out, please let me know, too!! :-)

Yes, it's basically a combination of how well your each hub performs in traffic and people interactions and also your interactions with other people and hubs. This is what I think how it is defined.

LeanMan is right, it's basically magic!
On a serious note, you just have to try and write a stellar hub that gets good traffic. I think it must also come down a little bit to luck.

I am sure that there is some luck involved

But even fortune favours the brave reviewstop. A hub that is getting consistent traffic rounded off with stellar content and scrupulous organisation finds itself in the 100-league.

It really is about traffic. Don't let that be your goal. If you write a stellar hub, it still may not hit 100. If it's something that searchers are looking for and it's original, that's what will increase the traffic. The combination of a good hub title, stellar hub, and originality will increase chances of hitting 100. The key to knowing it's really about traffic is that it doesn't stay at 100 but for maybe a few days. That's my experience. I've had hubs at 100 fall into the eighties and jump back up into the nineties. You have less control over hubscore than you think.

Very rightly said Janshares. Fathoming hub scores and hub author score is more difficult than predicting the market mood. What do you say?

Yes trying your best is always good. But when my hubs hit one hundred, it was a surprise to me. One that was 100 is now 69, same "stellar hub." I can promote more but there are elements we cannot control. I know it will go back up so I'm not worried. Just an example for you from my experience.

I was going to ask the same question today. Below is a link to a HubPage article that should give us all plenty of answers.

"How To Increase Your Hub Author Score to 100 on HubPages"

    Quality , Original, Visitors, Luck
All four factors are needed to get hub with 100 score level.

  6. Greekgeek profile image78

My hunch is that visitor interaction / engagement (yes I know, some of you hate that word) is considered by Hubscore as well, although I have no idea how strongly it's weighted.

Traffic is step one : getting people TO your hub.

Engagement is what visitors do after arriving on the hub. Do they click some links? Poke a poll? Stay for more than ten seconds? Read the whole thing from top to bottom? Leave comments? All these things can be used as possible signals that they got something out of your hub after arriving on it.

It would make sense for Hubscore to take some of those things into account.

Or, as I have said before ad nauseam, "Traffic isn't everything, but everything comes from traffic."

As long as you are being yourself, publish ordinary articles, have good interaction with other members, your score will automatically increase. Also, it is good enough to have score above 70. IMO,score level does not matter once when you reach 70.

now I feel better. All my hubs have over 70

I would beg to differ from you beaddve, ordinary hubs have lesser chances of getting good ranks. Besides, there are other factors too like traffic, engagement as Greekgreek pointed out that contribute to the status

I had one that hovered in the high 90s for a few months, actually hit 100, and is now steadily in the low 80s.  I have done nothing to this hub after publishing it.  So, the person who wrote the 100 hub you saw probably has no idea how they did it either.  I agree with the previous poster - write well and be genuine, and you'll do fine here.

That hub had like 300 comments on it. Could be that the reason?
