Found one of my hubs on a blogger site - I suspect it's the same person (using a new name) who recently stole a great many hotel themed hubs.  He has a series of blogs relating to tattoos, which certainly have hubs on them:

design your own tattoo reviews (dot) blogspot (dot) co (dot) uk
my first blog is tribal tattoos (dot) blogspot (dot) com
tattoos designs review (dot) blogspot (dot) com
my blog is pictures of tattoos (dot) blogspot (dot) com

So far, just one helicopter site:

my first blog military helicopters (dot) blogspot (dot) co (dot) uk
(My hub on this site has nothing to do with helicopters, military or otherwise, but there is a mention of an accident involving a helicopter - enough to get it copied, I guess)

    Furniture:

my blog is american furniture warehouse (dot) blogspot (dot) co (dot) uk

He also has a Christmas greeting blog, but as far as I can see, that's entirely made up from eHow articles.

Hi Judi, water mark the images in your site. The water should say "Stolen from yoursite.com). So will get some traffic even if the person copies the content after seeing the water mark.

You can apply a transparent watermark diagonally and removing that is not easy and paintful.

As far as I know, you're not allowed to use watermarks on photos on HubPages - nice idea though smile

Use a Made For Pinterest image. A watermark that doesn't ruin the image smile

Any news from HQ on getting copied content threads stickied? Can't find that old request you posted a few weeks back. They said they'd bring it up at a community meeting.

I used that thread earlier in the week to ask for an update, but nothing further was mentioned.  I still think it's a good idea - the healthylivingbox.net site is still up (as far as I know) and has scraped most of the site.  Not sure if that's been overlooked in the Rank08 and all-topic furore.

Thanks for posting this, Judi - you are always on top of these things so quickly.

Thanks Marcy.  I run a search on two hubs every couple of weeks - one in particular has now been copied more than a dozen times.

I checked that healthylivingbox site a few times, but couldn't see any of my hubs there because the search facility is so crap . But after reading your post today I checked again and sure enough, there they are. On the plus side, it's a truly horrible looking site so I doubt they get much traffic.
Off to do a bit of filing now.

It is an awful site, but I started a thread about it a couple of weeks ago because it was outranking some hubs.  I would imagine that most hubbers will find some of their hubs there.

I found one of my hubs on all-topic and when I clicked it said "My website is come back soon! Thank you."  They must have taken him down. This guy was number one on first page my hub was under him. I think that is just crazy what is Google thinking.
Now I have to check healthylivingbox.net.

Yeah, it took a while to get rid of him.

I have more than enough of this. I also have some troubles to publish hubs. copyscape tells your hub is unique smallseotools says your hub is 90 % unique and hubpages said your content is duplicate don't know what to do.

Seoexprtm you have only been here on HubPages for 17 hours but I took the time to read one of your two Hubs. Perhaps by reading HP TOS it will you understand what type of writing community this is. Patience my friend.

I placed a paragraph from one of your articles into Google and a pdf called 'Professional Wordpress Design and Development' appeared with the exact wording. It was written by Hal Stern, David Damstra and Brad Williams. Are you any of these guys?

Google have emailed me to say that my hub is now removed from the helicopter site.  There are still a great many hubs there (around 200).  I've seen hubs, like mine, that have nothing whatsoever to do with helicopters, but which mention the word once in the text.

Likewise, the tattoo sites and the furniture site are still up with a lot of hubs copied.

JudiB well done. Vigilance is your middle name and we should thank you. The rank08 site is down now I think but in Google Webmaster Tool under site links rank08 links are still showing. Is this normal or harmful?
Perhaps someone else has queried this also? Do I leave them there or can Google get rid of them.
