I just wrote my first hub, and was hoping that someone would take a look at it, and give me some tips to get off to a good start.
Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to read it, and I took your advise. Both tips are really good, but the one about the boarder I do not think I would have ever noticed that if you did not tell me.
I found your article quite informative. The videos are also quite appropriate to explicit what you wanted to highlight in your article. I found it writing flawless. So, I am really not sure about what tips should I give you. I also wrote my first hub article few days before. Can you please take some time out to read it and please give me some tips about how to improve.

Great hub! Jam packed with valuable information and well presented. I would put a photo at the top of the page to draw the readers in. If you want to save the space for an ad at the top, put it right underneath where the ad would be - maybe the second paragraph of your hub?
I did see some white spaces that don't look right - make sure there aren't any spaces at the end of your text capsules.
I would recommend looking over the hub with a fresh eye for editing changes. I regularly make mistakes that I don't notice until I look at my hub later. For example, you did not capitalize United States in the second paragraph. It is a minor issue, but if your hub turns out to be a Hub of the Day or Rising Star (which I think it deserves), people will be criticizing the little things.
The biggest thing would be images. Be sure you are using images that you have the right to use, and attribute them properly. See this Learning Center entry for how-to: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/legal-image-use
Thanks Millionaire, I reread my post and fount a few mistakes like you said things i did capitalize, missing words, and so on nothing to big, I also added a pic at the top. I'll have my husband take a look at it when he gets home from work to see if he can see anything I missed. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Great hub indeed your hub is the need of the day .Pls do me a favor I need your invaluable advice on mine too.

Re: My Hub https://hubpages.com/literature/The-Hou … -It-for-MeThis hub has been featured for a rather long time. It recently has been marked as Not Featured with a comment that it may have spammy elements. I do not put spammy elements on my Hubs. The notice makes reference to ads. I...

I have been hub hopping lately and I am disgusted with the incoherent garbage that I am coming across - nothing but poorly translated articles of about 400 words, usually without even any formatting. I would say that more than half of the articles I randomly encounter are clearly nothing but spun...

In their teachings on writing stellar hubs, the HubPages staff has sometimes said that an ideal hub is 1,500 words long and has sometimes said that an ideal hub is 1,150 words long. Numerous hubs by hubbers on hubbing have recommended that a hub should be at least circa 400 to 500 words long, at...

I have written a pro-president Trump hub. I wrote it in the weeks after the election but before the inauguration. it is interesting to see how my predictions are turning out. The hub is entitled "No joke! 50 Ways Donald Trump will make America great...

At the beginning of February, I had my hub on the Chinese New year removed because, apparently, it had 'unrelated products.' As the only products were made of jade, and as jade is considered extremely lucky in the new year, and I had written about that, the action was either malicious or ignorant....
