I logged in this morning and saw Editor's Choice for the first time, alongside one of my hubs.
How come they don't pick the one you'd have liked yourself? The one you think is best/better?
It's a good, but bad, feeling all in one.
Now I'll be interested to see if it makes one iota of difference to stats/traffic/income etc.
Congrats with the achievement? Curious about the stats... Saw many people blaming the whole Editor's Choice program and accusing it for bringing the traffic down... How's your status so far?
We probably haven't viewed your "best" Hub yet. It's going to take us time to get through all of the Editor's Choice candidates. Congratulations! It's not easy to have a Hub chosen!
I have two editors choice, the traffic on one is way down and the traffic on the other is a bit better. However, traffic on the first one was already going down before it became an 'editor's choice', so I am unable to tell what would have happened if it had been left as it was. Personally, I don't think it has made very much difference yet.
I don't understand? It seems to me that the Editor's Choice could only help your hub. Why do people believe that it drives traffic down? Very interesting though if it does.
It changes the hub of the url. So you lose links and bookmarks. And there is no evidence yet that the new url gets more search traffic.
I think the old links just redirect to the new location don't they? I don't think you completely lose the original subdomain link.
"It changes the hub of the url."
Well, either that or the url of the hub.
But you won't lose links or bookmarks; both will still direct a reader to your hub. You may lose google juice from those links - depending on where they are that could be good or bad.
I was just mortified that I lost my high amount of Facebook likes on one of them, and no I haven't regained them.
I had two EC's, but they both had reasonable traffic before they got that dubious status. Once they did, I never saw an up arrow on either one again, so I opted out. Both were very popular before.
They're breeding.... more ECs now.
Of the first one, phenomenal traffic... huge. I shouldn't tell you or you'll be jealous, but I'll just hint that you won't need the fingers on your second hand if you're counting the visitors today.

I had a hub that was receiving around 1,300-1,500 views per day. It was chosen as Editor's Choice. It then dropped by about 1,000 views per day. I opted out of the program, but that hub is no longer showing in Google for the keywords that brought it all the traffic before EC messed it up. How can I...

I opened my Hp site today and was surprised to have 10 "Editor's choice" selected for my hubs. I wonder how many did you get. No hidden agenda; just curious.

Now with all the fantastic hubs here, the likelihood that I'll be picked for Editor's Choice is pretty low.I've seen some scattered mention of how it works, but no definite clarity. So, for those of us who are new immigrants from Squidoo, and any other newbies, could you explain how it works.I can...

On Sunday, I noticed that many of my hubs made the Editor's Choice list. Though I was pleased, I noticed that my views had fallen somewhat. I figured it would take a few days for views to increase since my hubs are no longer on my subdomain but on the main HP domain. However, I checked on my...

I was really excited when some of my hubs were awarded Editor's Choice, but it seemed to make little difference to number of page views to those hubs. However, getting two HOTD has been great! One of my HOTD was also an Editor's Choice and one wasn't. Both got huge spikes in views from HP but not a...

My "Inside the Beehive" hub just got the "Editor's Choice" award. After reading the posts about Editor's Choice, I feel like it is like getting the key to the city. It is a great honor, but it's not good for any thing. It doesn't even show up on my profile...
