We see so many hubs deindexed, yet this morning there is a pile of new hubs, published within 2 minutes of each other that is nothing but copied content, word or word, from another site where articles are sold. In fact this person sells their copied content from the site they copied the work from. How in the world does duplicated content get published?
It's apparent that HP is not willing to invest the money into getting the best Plagiarism checker software in order to prevent such happenings. I am sick seeing so much duplicate articles on HP.
If we've already crawled the source of duplicate content it will be blocked before it can even be published, but if we haven't it can take 12-24 hours to completely process a new Hub. I'm not sure specifically what Hubs you are referring to, but I suspect if they are truly duplicates that most of them will in fact be caught. Feel free to send me the URLs of those Hubs, or post them here.
Every week we compare our duplicate content checker against Copyscape using a random set of new Hubs, and for years our checker has consistently located more duplicate content. So I dispute Cardisa's claim. Of course, if we had the sort of crawling and storage capacity that, say Google has, we surely could do even better. But maintaining that infrastructure only for the purpose of providing a duplicate content service would not be cost effective.
Well I just heard recently about copied/stolen hubs and not sure how to check if any of mine have been copied.
I also have hubbers that have no hubs and shows them as just joined or joined months ago. I have one hubber that has no hubs, joined 4 months ago and is only following me. Is there a way to block/not allow someone to follow you or delete this hubber. HIs hub name is soulhax and another one named abhinavmk who is following 8 people but no hubs himself and he joined 4 months ago.
Thank you

Just now I saw a hub that was copied from that of mine. I had published it on 27th Feb. The same hub is being published with a little changes here and there. What should I do? Any help would be highly appreciated.

The article in question was "Good Title and Caption Ideas for Content Creators". Here is the link to the unpublished page at least showing the url (https://discover.hubpages.com/technology/Caption-Ideas). I published this article on 2-21-22. There is usually a 1 day wait time for...

I notice that on the "copied Hubs" page, there's a column for "removed". I've never seen any Hub with an entry in that "removed" column and there seems to be no way to mark a copy as "removed". Is there meant to be?It would be an awesome...

During my morning hopping routine, I read a hub on cancer which I liked. At the end of the hub the author stated that she had posted it on her website too, with URL and everything. I decided to see the website and lo and behold the exact words. If she had rewritten the article it would have been...

Found one of my hubs on a blogger site - I suspect it's the same person (using a new name) who recently stole a great many hotel themed hubs. He has a series of blogs relating to tattoos, which certainly have hubs on them:design your own tattoo reviews (dot) blogspot (dot) co (dot) ukmy first...
