Embarrassing Question: Google AdSense

   Let me apologize in advance for being dense, but: Is there a way to target which AdSense ads appear on Hubs?  The ads that Google has been showing within my articles rarely match up with the subject I am writing about.  I admit that I am still pretty new to the whole concept of monetization, and apologize if the answer to this question is glaringly obvious to everyone in the world except me.

      You can block certain types of ads from appearing, but you can't pick and choose which ads appear on which hub.

      Not everyone will see the same ads you see. Google often targets the ads to the search history of the computer you're searching from.

         I wondered why some ads seemed so irrelevant to the content of this or that Hub, and yet completely relevant to my prior Google queries.  Thanks, Sherry Hewins.

   Google AdSense Displays targeted ads. This means that the ad people see will be influenced by their location and their search history.The ad is usually also adapted to the niche your site is in. If your hub is about computers, the ad will usually be related to this topic.
   
   Coming back to your question. I believe that you can block certain types of ads. However, you cannot chose exactly which ads appear in your hub.

   You can block ads on your 60% of views but not on Hubpage's 40%.
   
   And as above; adverts are often based on search history or location.

         Ads shown are based on visitors history, the content of your article and other factors. There are a few cases where the ads may not be directly targeted. But, note that if you block particular ads, then the competition would decrease and hence the CPC would decrease as well. So, only block if you're totally against a particular ad or service.

   Hello Earl, I read some of your hubs and I see the problem. The problem is your keywords. You do not have enough keywords to allow google to post an adsense with your content. In other words, For example, the hub you have about Church and State, if you mention "Church and State" a few times in your website then that becomes your keyword and google would know that your hub is about Church and State.

   It really depends on the keywords you are using, if you are writing about accidents and you write insurance in the title and body more than once you'll get ads related to insurance.

   You should not forget that there is also Interest based ads. Adsense might serve you ads depending on your surfing habits. That means that some other people will be seeing different ads from the ones you see.
   
   All that being said, you should write hubs with the keywords you want to target. WARNING: Do not keyword stuff

      That's right you should use the keywords that are relevant to the topic you are writing about. If you stuff irrelevant keywords just to get better paying ads, then your adsense account may get disabled.
