I just joined HubPages the other day and successfully submitted my first hub!
Can everyone give me some advice and suggestions of how I can be successful?
Thanks everyone!
Hey Kolin! Welcome to HubPages!
Here are some tips for you.
1. Put a profile picture, it doesn't have to be of yourself but of anything really. Something that describes you.
2. Start writing lots of hubs, make sure that they are about 900 to 1000 words long and include about three pictures. You can get pictures from Pixabay, freedigitalphotos and Wikipedia. Make sure to attribute. Remember, write quality hubs, they will result in more traffic than lots of poorly written hubs.
3. Remember to write about topics that people will search about on Google. Think of the titles of your hubs and say to yourself 'Will someone search that on Google?'
4. You will find a LOT of information in the Learning Centre so check that out for some great advice! There are lots of hubs out there that can help you, I have written two myself for beginners that want to start getting traffic, when I got ten thousand views and when I got paid.
Thank you! That's all useful information and I'll do just that.
Hi Kolin,
Welcome to HubPages. I am pretty new myself but I have learned so much in the past month or so. My advice to you is to read the forums, look at the answers to other people's questions about hubbing, read other hubs, do some "hub hopping" and get a feel for everything around the site. There is a lot! But, hub pages comes with it, a community and that part is a nice surprise!
Welcome to HubPages Kolin. I recommend reading the Learning Center and taking the advice you find on it. I also recommend reading hubs and analyzing what you like and don't like about each.
Then try writing hubs. Some will be more successful than others, and some will be easier to write than others. Each Hubber finds something different that works best for them.
Welcome to HubPages, Kolin. Enjoy the ride, pace yourself, don't rush to make money; it will come in time with quality, as you write about the things searchers want. Put the searcher's way of thinking ahead of your own. Be patient with the process and never give up when the going gets tough.
Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm going to go and start working on everything that was mentioned and explore and get to know the site better. I appreciate the advice.

Hi there,So, I am completely new to HubPages and it has taken me a little while to put something together in order to test out how it works. I have a feeling my first Hub is not going to stand the test of time, however, now that I am reading through more and more of other peoples' hubs. I've...

I've now written 52 Hubs but have less than 300 views from Google. I've read and taken the advice about titles, key words, niches, and high interest topics but am going nowhere fast. Is this the way it is or am I doing something horribly wrong? It seems like I'm missing a huge piece of the puzzle...

I'm pretty new to hubpages. I am pretty young (turned 18 in May) so I don't have much life experience to share with people here.My main question is do I still have a chance with my Hubs? I've made a few Hubs sharing what little experiences I have had in my life and what knowledge I do...
