Ebay is Raising its Payment Threshold to $25 a month

   According to their blog "Beginning August 1st there will be a new payment threshold of 25 USD, 25 CAD, 25 EUR, 25 GBP, or 25 AUD (depending on your country’s currency). This will require no change on your part. The first payment with the new threshold will be on Tuesday, August 25th, 2009."
   
   They did say that there would be no payment threshold this July or in November.

   Nellie--What does that mean--a new threshold?  We've sold on there for years, but have taken a little break from it the past few weeks, so I'm behind on the news...

   Previously you only had to make $5 in affiliate commissions to get a check. Now you have to make $25. Apparently this July you get paid for any amount of affiliate commissions. Then in August it is raised.
   
   $5 was really low. $25 is pretty common. So if you want to get paid every month. You might have to promote them more if your only making say $8 a month or so.

   This is news to me! I am presently making an average of 20$ per month. This definitely means putting on more efforts.

   Lissie, $100 payouts are not cool. Adsense is the worst of the bunch and the only one I know of. Most payment thresholds are $25 and I think that's fair. If you promote a lot of merchants it can be hard to get everyone up to $100 every month. Wreaks havoc on the cashflow. I resent it when merchants hold my commmissions for 5 or 6 months. Which could happen with $100 thresholds. Generally I won't work with them.
   
   I have direct deposit and love it when the tiniest amounts show up each month. They do add up. Guess it's different for non-US-based affiliates, who sometimes opt to have higher minimums.

   Not at all Adsense is fine: kontera is a have as has been mentioned in these forums a number of times with practices such as disapearing earnings less than $5 /month
   Amazon for me will only pay by check (I am not in the US)- they charge me for that so I have upped the minimum payout for them (oh they will give me giftcards -but that's not money thats spending LOL)
   Clickbank owes me well over $100 but until several other people buy products using their credit cards not Paypal I won't see it

      I feel the same way as Lissie.  If ebay wants to raise their payouts to $25 dollars I am for that.
