Every time I try to add photos within my article, the "Photo capsule" box goes all the way to the bottom of my text. How can I place photos within the text? Is there a link or instructions? Not sure if this has been answered already.
Hi prayerpower, you might want to post your concern under 'technical issues' so Matthew Meyer will see it. There were similar problems about two weeks ago:

Hi prayerpower. When you are in the edit mode, if you put your cursor just to the left of the text where you want the photo to be a little blue square will appear and a box that gives you an option of what you want to add: text, photo, amazon, video, etc. Choose photo. Then when the photo box appears, put your cursor in the pink area to the right and click on the arrow to designate where you want your photo to appear.
Play around with those arrows to see where the photo edit box goes and that will be where your photo will appear. You can also go over to the far right column and click on "Organize your capsules" where you can see little boxes of where all your capsules are. You can click and drag the photo capsule where you want it to be.
I hope this is clear enough to help you.
I forgot to say, that when you go to the top right to add a capsule, photo etc., it will jump the capsule down to the bottom. This is not a tech problem, it is normal. If you do that, you can use the arrows in the photo capsule to move it up to the text where you want it to be.
Remember to break your hub into four or five text capsules, so you can place the photos near the text. I learned the hard way and went back later and had to change everything around. I hope you don't run into that problem. Good luck.
Hi prayerpower. I'm thinking perhaps you haven't noticed the little arrow on the right hand side of your Photo bar. After you've saved your photo, you can click the arrow to float the photo to the right ... and then move it with the other arrows up or down until it is inside your text capsule. Does this solve your problem?
No, only the left side. Thank you, I will check.
I've also learned that you can break up the content into several text capsules without adding a heading to each capsule.
You don't want to do this all the way through, but it works very well for specific photo placement. You can even have a text capsule with only a couple of sentences, and that way, you can line up the photo with the exact part of the text you want. The reader will not see the capsule/lack of heading break, but your photo will go just where you want.
Best wishes.
Thanks for the tip! I never saw the sense in breaking text up into several capsules until now. That solves a problem that puzzled me.
You're most welcome.
You also want your text broken up, anyway, with sub-heads, as a long piece with no breaks or divisions will turn many people away from reading. Folks like short bursts of information these days. Sad, but true.
Next time you start writing, put in text capsule, then photo capsule, then text capsule and photo capsule. I normally have 7 of each capsules. The text capsule should contain one paragraph or one train of thought.
Write on all the text capsules and then fill in the photo capsules as required.
That is one way of doing it. For me, it depends on how many words I have. Sometimes you end up with blank space, and you have to readjust as needed. Someone suggested you use one capsule to put text by the photo. We could have a layout contest someday. Some hubbers have outstanding layouts with picturesque dividers and their own creative photography.

I know traffic is a problem everywhere it seems; I'm not talking about low traffic, here. We all need to be aware of the HP's photo capsule may be affecting our bounce rates. There is a real problem if you use the photo capsule for anything-- even the intro photo. I'm NOT referring to the images...

Thank you to everyone who reported problems with the photo capsule. A new release just went out that fixed a big issue with Internet Explorer that was causing all kinds of problems and understandable stress for a number of users. I apologize for this, especially because it took so long to track it...

I have be trying to insert photos at various intervals in my textual content to no avail.I have looked at other posts dealing with this same question, and their answers. None of them have worked for me. One person suggested it was necessary to build separate text capsules to do this. Another,...

Once you've researched, drafted, edited, proofed... and before you've published your hub, you should think about a few things you could do to do it justice and add some extra appeal to it.1) Photo or Illustration? I like at LEAST one image. That way when it comes up in the hub search results it has...

Hi- I've been here for a few months, but this hub, just published today, is my very FIRST attempt at using multiple text capsules and embedding a video. I tried to add photos, but gave it up, as there were all kinds of problems. What do you think of the final...
