Review My Hubs and Give Me What For--I Deserve It

   Hello, good citizens of Hubberville.
   
   I'm Kelly Contrary and I'm looking for any advice on how to make my hubs better.  Please note, I'm freakin' terrified of using an unauthorized picture and having the photo police break down my front door and haul me away to some God-forsaken place like Kansas.  My kids would miss me but my wife might place the call to rat me out.  Life's like that sometimes.
   
   So, aside from an unnatural aversion to pictures, I am computer illiterate.  I'm quite thrilled I was able to publish any hub, and that any one would be read by a person who didn't suffer from horrible seizures afterward.

   But, pick any you'd like. One where I actually used pictures (through gritted teeth) is the Fatherhood: License Required hub.
   
   I have kids and work too much, but I will check back tomorrow.  Please don't think that my heart's not in this if there's a delay in my response.  Dude, my heart's all over it.

   I'm a total newbie here so I can't really give any good advice about making your hubs better, but I did want to say you do write very well, both on the humorous topics and the serious topics.
   
   I don't know if this is actually good advice, but you might try using your entertaining writing style to occasionally spend a moment soft-pitching a particular product within a hub.

      RooBee--Thanks for the praise.  In your comments, you have a smiley face that appears to be spitting out and sucking in a smaller yellow dot.  I have no idea how to do that, either, but it's way cool.  Yeah, you should be worried--I'm like 200 fans behind you.

         Anyhow, I get most of my smileys from this site: http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php  There's a handy-dandy forum code that you can paste right in.

            Oh, it's a fist-pumping thing. Got it. I loved Arsenio Hall. He was Annie Hall's brother in that Woody Allen movie, right?  Too bad he didn't get the Oscar. Bummer. I will use that URL for smileys--thanks for the tip.

   I say use the picture, the police won't kill you, the worst possible scenario is hubpages.com removing the picture from the hub.
   
   Maybe include the website URL where you got the picture so that you are sourcing your resources fairly?
   
   All i know is that you need pictures.

      Thanks, Koby.  I'll try to include pictures from the free sites and include their URL and my credit card #, blood type and driver's license.  Haven't made it around to read some of your stuff, but like Sam and Dave said, Hold on, I'm Coming.

   Kelly - I just adore your hubs and your humor. You obviously are experienced, intelligent and funny. I don't know whether your hubs are 'good' or not since I don't know your goal.
   
   If you're looking to make some spare change, probably not. If you're looking to make other people smile, you're right on the money and then some.
   
   Whatever you do, though, don't stop writing! Your writing makes the world a much more pleasant place.
