Blocking Forum Threads From Our Feeds

We now can limit the feed, through the feed filter, to one thing--Hubs, etc. But there is no way, from what I can tell, to just exclude one thing from the feed--specifically, forum threads, which was what I was trying to exclude. I went to My Account and unfollowed forums that I had been following. However, the forum threads are still showing up in my feed. I don't know if it just needs time to set in or what. I realize at this point the main way to avoid getting the forums in the feed is not to comment in the forum, which is my future plan. But I was thinking it would be a good feature if we could just exclude them from the feed through the feed filter or something along those lines. Or maybe something in My Account in the Following section in which you can just click a check box and exclude forum threads from the feed and notifications.

    Thanks.

As you mentioned, we show authors content that we think they will find of interest.  So if you participate in the forums, we assume that you are interested in the content in them and show it to you via the feed.

You can change your options related to the feed and forums here.

Keep in mind that we are also likely to show you content from authors you are following as well.

I never see anything relating to forums on my feed. Therefore I apparently figured out how to do that sometime in the past. Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was I did. Am I helpful or what? big_smile

Hark! I found it. After clicking Feed Filters, click the Filter-by-Type edit. Forum-posts options will show up. Un-check the critters.

I unclicked them. I'm still getting forum threads in my feed but I think that will change. At least I'm hoping so. When I did the unclicks and hit save I got a message that said the changes would be effective going forward. Thank you for your assistance.
