Any ideas why in searching the net I would find a title "How In Order To An Air Conditioning Capacitor - Cre8tor at Hubpages" that doesn't mention me, Hubpages or capacitors in the article? (No links either) It's not a copy of my Hub by any means but???
"How In Order To A Penny For Your Thoughts" (Sorry, couldn't pass it up)
Actually, it looks like the same site has titled a couple pages this way as well as other sites too...what the heck? I'm not sure if I should be upset or not. It'd be easier to decide if there was a link or copyright issue but I haven't seen one so far.
The same happened to me, I wouldn't worry about it. Try searching "susi10 on hubpages" and you'll get the real deal. There has to be at least 50 articles citing my name on all of them. Very annoying I must say! I don't think there is anything we can do about it either.
As Cardisa mentioned on the forum thread below, they think that by including "cre8tor on hubpages" in their titles, they will get traffic to their useless content. They aren't being nasty, just greedy for more traffic. It's just silly.
I think you'll find the answer in this forum:

I think it's an attempt to cite you. They probably feel bad for taking your work and feel that by throwing your name in there they are adequately giving you credit.
William15 - That's the thing, they're not citing me. The article never mentions me, capacitors or Hubpages and though it is about A/C, it never cites me. The title doesn't even make sense the way it's written.
Cre8tor....Ahhhhhh...what a world. God only knows why human beings do a whole lot of the senseless, crazy, useless things they do. Hard as we try, one of the few explanations I can come up with, is that far too many individuals forget to take their meds.
Breathe deeply....head up and forward we go.
Perhaps they cannot really write and they are secretly trying to 'share' your Hub(s). Do you know who the writer is and whether they have commented on your Hub(s)?
Or maybe they saw them on Facebook/Twitter and did not like them - that is their way of putting them down.
Seemed more like an attempt to gain traffic. Though I do well for myself here, I don't know that I pull enough weight for them to rake in on the use of my name in search engines.
I've just been dealing with a few copyright things here lately and stumbled upon this strand of titles (not all by the same author by the way) and wasn't sure if it was something I should take action on really. I'm trying to soak up all this legal stuff and as I am, I'm seeing things like this that I never saw before and not sure how to respond. It seems like in this case, there's nothing I can really do but it doesn't seem right. "I'm more than just a keyword you know. I'm a human being!" LOL

I have finally published a hub that has been deemed unfeatured. I can only direct my attention to a table I inserted which was long when viewed on the mobile platform. Grammar is checked, titles tweaked, content is solid as its in the same vein as my other articles. Do you think this could be it?...

I love to see what people were looking for when they found my hubs, it helps me choosing new titles and see which questions I left unanswered.I was hoping to see keywords under Traffic Sources, but I have to click on each hub and then stats, and then keywords.... quite a long process to check them...

This doesn't make sense. My article "Gardening for Beginners: 10 Easy Steps to Sowing Seeds which currently ranks in fourth place (despite all the deranking) for "How to Sow Seeds" has had its title changed to "How to Sow Seeds( Plus A Definition)". I'll change it back when...

When I first started writing at HubPages I was under the impression that one should make the url and the first title of their hub the same.So my question now is: When trying to write the url for maximum traffic, how much should you really deviate on the main title? Or does it even matter if the key...

I looked at my hub scores today and cried. They have been falling steadily for two weeks from 70's & 80's to 60's and 70's with one 59. Today, one of my hubs has fallen to a 50. HP is sending me mixed signals. I am told to write in a niche that I am passionate about with...
