I keep getting the error message "Tracking Code Mismatch in Analytics?

    I thought I had fixed this but apparently not.  When I press the button for details it says this:

    No matching tracking code found for property http://hubpages.com's default URL http://hubpages.com, however tracking codes are detected for: UA-286186-1. Either fix the tracking code for UA-7058939-1 or update the default URL.

    I have no idea what I'm doing here can anyone help me with this?

      Brie, on which page do you see that error? I'm not entirely sure if this will solve the issue, but I suggest that you try a couple of things:

      -Login to your GA account and click on the Admin tab
      -Click on Property Settings (first option in the middle column)
      -Check two things: 1) is the default URL hubpages.com? 2) Is the Tracking ID on this page the same as the tracking ID you entered on this page: https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/analytics

      If not, please update the Tracking Code in your HubPages account. If so, check your Google Analytics reports. Is there data for your subdomain? If everything looks normal, then this error might be a bug on Google's side (I've read some reports on other forums that this error has been mistakenly shown). If your reports are empty, let me know and we can investigate further.

        Yes it is the default url
        Yes it is the same tracking ID #
        Yes there is data reporting.

        So then you think it might be a bug?

          Since your GA reports appear normal I'm inclined to think that it might be a bug, but I can't know for sure. I wouldn't worry too much about this since it sounds like your subdomain is being tracked properly, but to be safe you may want to post something about this in the Google Analytics Support Forums or read the existing posts by users who have seen the same error in their accounts.
