New and exciting films are needed!

   Nowadays in Hollywood block buster films that originates from well known publishers are the only films that get produced and shown onto the silver screens around the world. Films originating from long time and well known comic book publishers to be exact like DC comics and Marvel comics. I'm a big comic book fan of both DC and marvel comics but I want to something just as exciting as what these publishers has to offer but with a different twist. I want to see films that are for today but was known from years past and I'm not just talking about historical films like the 300 Spartans, although very exciting with the remake of Zack Synders 300 film sequels.
   
   I'm wanting to see something just as  epic but with more of a spiritual and inspirational message about it. I'm all for action, thrills and suspense but todays society needs to see something real, something to think about after watching the film. We need films that are life changing and that can help make good changes in society one person at a time.

      I couldn't agree more!  Mindless action bores me after about 2 minutes.  I keep asking myself, "Okay -- what's the point?"  We need films that are timeless, that cause us to think, and that inspire.

         So true Genna. I'm all for action films but it gets so predictable that sometimes I just wished I had waited for it to come out on DVD or tv. I remember watching the Avengers in theaters here in Scotland during the week and I expected seeing a phenomenal amount of action during the first few scenes. To my surprise there was none. I was so shocked that I was numb. I left the theaters completely numb that I almost cried.
         
         Besides all that, I also think of having too much expectations of great action scenes and really not getting what I was expecting could also make films like The Avengers a bit dull and  disappointing.

      French movies? What's up with them? My last name being Gateau is French but that doesn't mean I can sit and watch an all French speaking film. Do you realize how painful that could be for me?

   Sadly, the dynamics of Hollywood mean the kind of movie the original poster describes is not likely to happen.  As action movies get more expensive, they get more formulaic almost as a necessity: studios pay big bucks for the kind of "epic" scenes that make an action movie cool to watch, and this money means that producers and investors aren't willing or likely to take big risks and put out something different.  The closest thing you are likely to see is something interesting from an already established director, like some of the work by Quentin Tarantino  or Martin Scorsese.
