   Recently I started  second sub domain here at HP.  I placed a few ads on one of the articles I wrote.  When reading a hub from another poster, I saw those same ads on her hub!  So, here is my question:  If my ads appear on somebody else's hub, and a reader clicks on them, do I get the income from them?  I doubt I do, but I think it very strange that ads I placed on my own hubs are appearing on another person's work.  I understand that Google tracks your searches and perhaps that is what happened here, but am curious to see what you guys think.

      You saw the same ads because that is what Google is choosing to show YOU.  It's tracking you.  Most users will see something related to their most recent search regardless of what content they are viewing because Google has become annoying that way.
      
      Whenever I get an airplane ticket, Google knows and I see nothing but plane ticket deals and ads for that destination for days after.
      
      But if someone was your referral, you could earn a share of their impression income.  That's always been true.

         I see the same thing happen all the time.  I even find some of the items I am selling on e-bay appear on my Facebook page or even those I am looking at buying myself on my website.  Quite scary, everything we do is being tracked by Google.

      When I go to amazon to select something for an amazon capsule or to put an amazon links on my blog, I see ads for that thing on facebook, on my blogs, on my hubs, everywhere I go online that has ads. I also see ads for things related to searches I did for research. Google knows all except for the fact that I actually have no interest in buying those things.

         Yes, I know G does this, but this is a bit different because these are ads I am actually placing on my hubs.  I don't think I have ever seen this happen before.

            I don't understand how you are 'placing adverts' on your hubs? What do you mean? How? Who owns the adverts? Not a challenge, just something entirely new to me - I don't get it!

               I am speaking here of using Amazon capsules that have advertisements on them that I choose to show as they relate to what I am writing about.  In this case I was writing about a teaching technique where teachers can color coordinate their classrooms to help students learn to organize and focus.  The ads included items such as colored folders and matching boxes in which to place them.  They showed up on another author's site as a side bar, and I cannot figure out exactly why this happened.

                  Ah, okay, Amazon capsules.
                  
                  Try clearing cookies and cache to get rid of trackers between placing your ads and looking at other hubs and see if it still happens.

                  Yes, but google "knew" it was you who was looking at that author's site and knew that you had previously looked at those folders.
                  HP puts ads wright inside the test capsule exactly where the author would put a sidebar.  I think this is supposed to stop when the new hub formatting change is made. I hope so because I hate those ads appearing right in the middle of my beautifully crafted hub. I'm OK with ads on the side, top, and bottom but not directly in the hub.
