How do I format a poll to accept more than one answer?

I recently added a poll to one of my hubs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that one could allow readers to select more than one answer. I eagerly clicked the box to take advantage of this option. I am now adding a poll to another hub, but I see no option to allow readers to select more than one answer. Have the polls changed or am I overlooking something? Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm not sure if I'm reading your question correctly, because everyone is answering that polls don't allow more than one answer. In every poll I've placed on Hubs I always have multiple answers to the poll question. It's an option for certain as far as my understanding of this question.

      Am I missing something?

      Hi Marian,

The Poll Capsule does not allow each individual reader to select more than one answer, but you can add as many answer options as you'd like (to give your readers more to choose from).

You can use the"Add another answer choice" button to do so:

Is it possible you were originally using the Quiz Capsule instead? The Quiz capsule allows your readers to choose answers for a series of questions:

Christy Kirwan, you are a genius! That's exactly what I did before. Thanks so much!

I hope you got confused, Marian Designs. You might have seen the poll results and found many results showing there in percentages. When multiple readers visit, they select various options as right answers for the poll. But each reader can select only one. So, when 10 readers participate in polls, say 5 selected 'A' as correct answer, 4 selected 'B' as correct and one selected 'C' as correct. So ultimately, when you see the results, it will show 50% for 'A', 40% for 'B' and 10% for 'C'. This is the system in it.

Thanks for the link, relache. I looked at that description before I came to the forum for help. That description doesn't address how you can set the poll to allow the reader to give more than one answer.

That's because the poll capsules here do not allow multiple answers per question.  Just one.  The only choices you get with the polls are to add more answers or to pick a bar graph vs a pie chart display.

You can choose only one choice, Linda. That is the only procedure in poll. There will be three or four options to choose from and you will select one answer that you think is perfect.

I have never seen that option....but then, I have not looked for it, either.

So far, I've only seen polls here that can accept only one answer.

Maybe I dreamed it. I'll look through my hubs and see if I can find the poll. It's almost 2 a.m. and I just ate dinner. lol

Thanks so much, everyone, for trying to help me. As Christy Kirwan suggested, I was confusing the Quiz capsule with the Poll capsule. Now it's back to my hub to put the Quiz capsule in. While editing yesterday, I took note of the Callout capsule. Wow! So much better than creating a text file in Photoshop and uploading it. Nice and crisp and clean.

    Again, thanks to you all,
    Marian
